Quote ="The Ghost of '99"It may have excaped your attention but Rugby League is not rugby union.
Deal with the world as it is, not some fantasy world where sponsorship is easy to come by. This deal is proabably valued around £75k-£100k in exchange for some minor secondary exposure. The way the f3ckwit fringe have gone off you'd have thought PJ's had been given title sponsorship and all-round stadium branding. They don't have a clue about how Rugby League, or sporting, marketing deals work.'"
If there isn't anyone able or willing to pay the going rate at the moment then don't sell pitch side advertising at every game (televised) and adverts on all video content. Otherwise you devalue it to be worth "a few free pizzas" when things turn themselves around. This has actually cost the superleague money rather than it earning a profit. Like I said anyone can sell five pound notes for a pound but what's the good in it?
Please can I buy your car for 50p? If you don't sell it me you're a f5ckwit because you don't realise how hard it is to sell cars at the moment.
