Jerry always has a mistake in him. He managed 70 minutes this week. Hardaker should have committed the defender but no-one at that level should fail to score.

Move the ball around and cause problems for the opposition

Maybe Bennett will let them do it before the 70th minute mark next week. He needs to take all of the blame for how we’ve played these last two weeks IMO. It’s been predictable and easy to defend against.

Forget Hodgson, Widdop, and Hastings. Tomkins fb ,then choose from Lomax, Williams, and Trueman in the halves.

Widdop and Hastings are fine if they’re allowed to play and move the ball around rather than being instructed to ensure we’re completing sets and hoofing the ball in the air.

The way our game plan has been these last two games, we may as well bring Jack Hughes and Josh Jones in to 6 and 7 and play for a 0-0.

A typical Mcquire coached team. Awful to watch. The ref should have clamped down on NZ spoiling tactics and Bennett should have prepared accordingly.

Well everything about that was horrific. The whole performance was summed up by Widdop putting a bomb up on the last, in his own half with 30 seconds left. I think Warrington may have made a very expensive mistake, his kicking game was dreadful throughout and that’s supposed to be his main asset. Hastings garbage as well, which I’ll put down to Bennett given that was the opposite of how he’s played this season.

Bennett’s bizarre player selections worked wonders as well. McGillvary, Hill and Hall have all done absolutely nothing to deserve being chosen, all 3 were useless and any other winger in Super League scores that at the end. Josh Hodgson is another who only gets picked because he plays in the NRL. He’s dreadful every time he plays for England and has continued that with the Lions, Clark is miles better. Whatever happens next week, get rid of Bennett and appoint someone who actually watches Super League and doesn’t treat it as a part time job for easy money.

Widdop has always been a robotic halfback, he has a very limited skill set.

Hastings I agree with but I think Widdop is the most structured half I’ve seen. Every time I’ve watched him he offers little to no creativity but can kick pretty well. Even in that department he was awful today.

I thought Hill had a decent game, big minutes, lots of energy and no mistakes.

Wonder if Henry Perenara has finished winding and burping young Kendall?

Fully agree on Hodgson, I just can’t for the life of me see how he’s being picked on what he’s produced so far for England/GB. He kills the side each and every time he pulls on the shirt.

Best games Widdop has had for us have been at full back. Id keep him in but swap him and Lomax round next week.

Definitely, the difference when he came on was noticeable to say the least and is every time Hodgson comes off. I don’t watch NRL anywhere near as much as SL but I don’t understand how Hodgson is so highly rated there. I’m guessing it must be that his inability to pass the ball further than the man stood next to him suits their conservative style. Agree with Lomax and Hastings in the halves as well but I’m not sure on Widdop, after that horror show I’d consider bringing Coote back even if he was poor against Tonga.

And now Hall is out with a dislocated knee. Who’d have thought that picking only two wingers (even more so when both have been rubbish) would end in disaster. An absolute shambles of a tour, the only positive would be if Bennett is gone at the end of it.
