I can only agree - he's got that Gareth Hock, unfixable quality about him; seems like a terrible fit at Cas, who if they have nothing else, appear to have an excellent team spirit.

I'm not sure where this myth comes from. During his time at Cas, he was well liked by the other players (apart from Keith Mason, by all accounts).
I don't recall any issues with other players at Salford or Leigh?
The question mark is over his ability to play to a structure and not try to be the hero on every play.
And over his own health and well-being.

When he signed for Salford, Cas fans warned them, they ignored it saying he would change.

Then He signed for Leigh, Salford fans warned them, but again they ignored it, saying he would do well for them.

And in a full circle he signs for Cas, Powell is a good coach, but let's not pretend he can work miracles with all players, there have been players he has signed that hasn't worked out.

Guess we will have to see if this works out, if I was having a bet I would guess it will all end in tears.

If the old Rangi turns up we COULD have a great backline next year if they stay fit.

Big if, but if it was to gel. This could be a force. We will see. Not getting my hopes up after the season weve have this year with injuries etc....

First objective for Chase, help Cas win 1 of the last 3 games so we avoid the middles 8s. If this isn't achieved, keep us up in the middle 8s. If the first objective is achieved then the next is, have fun , excite and earn your new contract from the super 8s. I thought we were boring on friday night in our defeat to salford, can't see that happening with chase back.

You'll never get boring with Chase. But you may get no structure when it's really required, more games now where he is a passenger, and his ever present off-field issues. You may also get a brilliant individual that fits like a glove into the current team. That's why I said he's a massive gamble.

I know where I'd put my money.
