I reckon thats what he meant, on a national scale in this country it isn't covered like the NRL is, which is the equivalant of football over here. And he is of course right.

| Luke has not performed better than Hill,Crabtree and Mossop this season as he has only just come back into the team and been spelled in those games as well.
Great player but not fit enough yet/. Squad player for England!!

| As a Leeds fan, I'd have taken both George and JP in my team this year
As for who's better, George edges it IMO.

George Burgess has been great in the NRL this year and is as strong and mobile a prop as you wish for. He should be nailed on as a place in the England squad and full strength 17. Unfortunately, you should have stopped there as claiming he has been 6 times better than Peacock makes you sound a little foolish

| I'm a big fan of George, but his tackle stats are inflated by a lot of third man efforts. His and Sam's yardage is incredible, and on that area Tom was doing better than George in recent games. I'd guess Tom has lost out on lack of experience and the fact that George and Tom on the field together do reduce defensive mobility.
The youtube highlights clip is amazing, but we've yet to see any amazing tackle busts from George in the finals. He's still proving hard to stop, but when players put themselves on the line to stop him they can. As I suspect Australia will show in the WC.

| George and Sam Burgess are both definites for the team.
I don't think Luke Burgess should be in the first choice 4 props for England. In the squad? Possibly, but I'd pick Crabtree, Hill, and Mossop before him.
Personally, I'd go with James Graham and Chris Hill starting, with Eorl Crabtree and George Burgess coming off the bench.
I'd have Sam Burgess starting at 13.

Would be great if they could change his mind,On this seasons form alone he is a country mile ahead of any other prop in SL and what a way for a true legend of the game to bow out.World Cup on home soil.
Sam can play in any of the forward roles,prop,2nd row or Loose so plenty of options to fit JP into the team. His drive and experience could be invaluable.

This.
But if O'Loughlin is fit i would change it to:
8.Hill
9.Roby
10.Graham
11.Burgess
12.Westwood
13.O'Loughlin
with Hock,Crabtree and G.Burgess off the bench.

| The Burgess show ponies have all gone missing in the NRL today when it really counts. It is to be hoped this isn't a pointer to their performances in the upcoming World Cup when it really counts.

Sam Burgess 148m from 19 runs and 1 offload - 55m higher than any other Souths forward and more than any Manly forward. George had a perfectly good try ruled out and was Souths top tackler and third highest tackler in the game. But don't let that get in the way of your point.

| Both the Burgess brothers bombed tries today as Souths season ended at the hands of Manly. As well as knocking on over the line George's mistake earlier on in the game led to a Manly try as well. Although they are good players they are possibly 2 of the most over hyped players in either competition.

It's amusing how many folk have pinned their England World Cup hopes on the Burgess Bros. Overhyped show ponies ripping it up during the regular season but it's a different matter altogether in games when it really counts. Too many crucial missed tackles and errors from them when the pressure was on. Someone needed to tell the show ponies that a game lasts longer than 20 minute show pony spells!
The Burgess Bros would fit right in at Huddersfield.

You are correct.
The Burgess brothers should collectively spend less time doing media stuff, smashing car windows on the Gold coast or posting naked selfies on the internet and more time training.

| i didn't watch the game this morning but i would comfortably say that with out sam and George burgess souths wouldn't have finished 2nd in the table and wouldn't of been in a semi final. And the reviews of these two shows they obviously have some agenda against the burgess's as any none bias australian will tell you George and sam have been two of the best in the NRL this season.
laughable that because souths lost its getting blamed on the burgess even after someone posted their stats for the game. Grow up is all that needs to be said.

Build 'em up and knock 'em down. Typical troll. Sam had the best stats on the field today (you ignored my previous reply I see).
George averages 135m a game and has 7 tries this season FFS. Sam averages 140m and has 8 tries. Both exceed their average stats in the finals win against the storm. Sam exceeded his season average stats today. Anyone who can ridicule ripping it up in the regular rounds of the NRL knows nothing about RL.

| I haven’t seen this morning’s game yet so won’t comment on the performance of the Burgess boys in this one
But I have seen every other Souths game this year and both Sam and George have been as good as any two forwards in the NRL as far as I’m concerned, the dominant players in a dominant pack for the majority of the season (Fafita at Cronulla probably the other stand out)
I actually thought Tom did very well when he broke into the team and he was unlucky to lose his spot again I thought, certainly he performed better than Asotasi when he has been alongside him (as I say, I haven’t seen this mornings game, maybe Asotasi had a blinder)

| I agree.
Putting all your Burgess eggs in the same basket is basket-case folly and will fail miserably when it really counts.
McNamara and England - consider yourself warned!
Hype does not equate to real substance when it really matters.

| How to spot Burgii sycophants?
They'll tell you the Burgess Bros were wholly responsible for Souths march to the Semi Finals this year.
They'll resort to providing selective stats in order to fit their Burgii agenda.
They'll also tell you today's loss wasn't their fault

Selective stats or season-long stats? Again, statistically, Sam Burgess was the best forward on the field today on both sides. George made 33 tackles (most for Souths) and 93 more than any other Souths player apart from Inglis and Sam Burgess.
Let's not pick on Jeff Lima, 3 missed tackles and 63m or Ben Te'o 61m or Dave Tyrell 84m and only 12 tackles, Glen Stewart 61m 3 missed tackles, .
I think you need to go back to moaning about SL attendances and your own 'selective stats'. You seem to know very little about the game itself.
