| This is the frustrating thing, we have some top quality players and i genuinely believe we have a squad capable of winning the WC. A forward pack of Graham Roby Burgess Hock & Westwood is frightening! Our back line is also looking exciting, Briscoe, Broughton, Charnley, Hall, Tomkins, Watkins.
The problem we've got is Mcnamara keeps picking players who have proved time & again they aren't good enough at international level, yet still keep getting picked because of what they have achieved in the past AT CLUB LEVEL.
Mcnamara has to forget the likes of Mcguire, Sinfield,, JJB & Wilkin. Their achievements at club level has been excellent. But they have never done it at international, what makes him think they are going to do it at 30+. They're not good enough. I would rather have a John Bateman or Stevie Ward than Wilkin or JJB.

For once, I do actually think we have decent strength in depth apart from full back and the halves. Lomax hasn't kicked on to be the international 7 everyone was hoping, Chase could fit in there but his off the cuff style nullifies Tomkins' threat from the back IMO. Sinfield is never an international 6 (although McNamara will pick him there). Players like Myler and Smith need to improve and become more consistent and rounded to be considered.

We need experience in the side but you could argue that Graham Roby and Burgess provide that now having been there for a number of years.

| Depending on how he performs next season, I can see Jack Hughes pushing for a place. Cant remember him having a bad game this season, and he's got a lot of potential.

This is the reason we have the Knights. Unless he's a Chris Hill style revelation on the SL stage, let him gain international experience with other youngsters who also have plenty of potential. Can you honestly see him ahead of a fit Ellis, Westwood, Hock & Manu (if he's English next year) for example?

Spot on. He's a prospect, but he's behind our own Hock, O'Loughlin and Farrell for back row spots at our club, never mind the country.
