we've sold almost 6,000 season tickets so far, and I'd expect to end up with 10,000. So yes a 15K average is not unrealistic if we have a good season. A return to Sunday rugby should also increase away crowds a bit.

| I would be happy for us to average 7,000 on our first season back, the big games (Saints, Wire, Wigan) if were doing okay should hit the 9,000 mark.

So am I. The finest McDonalds in the North West without doubt. I must have been about 10 times last season and everytime the quarter pounder was just perfect and fresh off the rack. The fries were also perfect.

| Without any marketing to be seen at all It would appear that the Salford board are expecting 12,000 just just turn up via the powers of ESP!
Personally I reckon we may be lucky to nudge 7,000 for the first game followed by going back to 4-5000 after losing the first couple of games!

They are expecting 12,000 to turn up? Have they said this publicly? One would assume that if they have they have based it on season ticket sales so far?
It would be fantastic for SL if Salford were capable of 10k crowds.
This is why a draft pick is essential in SL, so that the viscious circle created by the big clubs having all the junior talent is stopped.

Why put a negative spin on good news? It's just a cheap shot for no reason.
No matter what the amount before was, 300%+ is outstanding work by a new board.
The new stadium is very much in the public environment now so there is no need to accuse anyone of lieing. The evidence is there to be seen. Everybody will know whether we move forward at each stage....so why not try and find out rather than just "you thought".
And the optimism is real and a direct response to a new board, who have bought a pretty good team, and impressed supporters with their improved management of the club.

Good news for Huddersfield that, many have knocked the gates for years but to get 7,000 sold is a good effort. Just need to work on that away following now.

Yep, we'll get a good crowd for the first game on sky against Cas. We might even hit 10k, but then in true Salford fashion we'll get hammered and the core 3000 will be left as usual.

| My eyes are on the London Broncos, Wakefield, Castleford, Salford and Widnes. I think we need to see good crowds for all these clubs, will be interesting to see if Salford get that new influx of supporters like we have seen through the Super League era when new stadiums have been built.
I expect Saints to have a very successful year crowds wise, good work from Huddersfield too

| Wigan should increase again IMO. The marketing team have been quality for the last 2-3 years in particular. They keep pulling rabbits out of hats.
Last year we sold out our game against saints, I see no reason why we can't do the same this year.
We got 21k against wire with no offers on the table.
We got 19k against Hudds for the 'big one'.
19k against Crusaders for the 'Heritage game'.
Nearly 17k against Leeds with little away support.
If we can repeat crowds like that along with some good season ticket sales then I think we could break 17k.
Widnes are also back in Super league so we have potential for that fixture to be a big crowd with the history behind the game and a good Widnes following.
Away crowd will be bigger and louder than ever.

That's actually quite gracious of you. You don't get that attitude on VT much. Most just argue whether right or wrong just to save face.
You have my respect....for what it is worth.

I should think you would get more away support on a sunday. Cas will certainly bring more on a sunday than a friday.

our support the last few seasons unfortunately has seemingly been dictated by sky, it seems our supporters wont attend games that are on sky, and/or friday/saturday nights.
usually for a sunday game our away support is pretty decent though, saying that i think 4 or first 8 home games are on sky so that could significantly reduce the crowds, but also we dont have to move out so the football lot can have a nice new pitch to ruin in the winter months
i would reckon 8,000 for fartown.

| I think we may drop slightly tbh and a lot of that will be because the Saints game is the last match of the season. If things are sewn up in terms of league positions you could see a sub 15,000 crowd for that which would be 10,000 or so down on last season.
I think we'll see the Widnes game as the big one this year and they should be the first club since Warrington were involved in that fixture to bring a reasonable away support with any luck.
I'd guess we'll average out around the 15k mark.

Why the low capacity. I thought the golf stand was moving to the south end, which should keep capacity the same.
I would expect us to have around the same average as last season, maybe a few hundred extra if we are performing well.
