I would have thought common sense would perhaps tell you thats not the way a team is selected.





It's a bit like the Ferrari F1 R&D team being told to design a new racing car and them creating a website for random members of the public (most of which probably couldn't tell you where the oil goes on a Ford Mondeo) to pitch in their designs and the best one will become the new Ferrari F1 car.

"fan pick" you are picking from a preselected larger squad, and even then only allowed to pick half the matchday squad (unless there are any injuries or withdrawals and then it reverts to the coach) it's a gimmick

Another giant stride forward on the international front I see

Whats the point of having french teams in our comps if we don't play them at international level??????

Because they are worse than useless.

But what's going to improve the french?

Not being hammered by us every year.

You'd hope Catalans being in SL would have at least helped. Look at NZ now, it's widely stated that their success (current 4 nations champs and world cup holders afterall) is down to having a team playing in the NRL every week.

I'm not sure how long it took to take effect though if I'm honest.

The difference is that there may only be ONE team in NZ but there are dozens of Kiwis in the ARL. They effectively have 3 or 4 teams wiorth off top talent to pick from.

In France there is one team playeing at the top level and er that is it.

They need a second team in France and a few more players plying their trade in SL in England and then we will see the benfits for France.
