The fans of SL clubs I have met both at matches and in my work around the N West of England , particularily fans of W1g4n,Warrington,St Helens and Salford as my work takes me to those towns quite often , I suggested that they might be lieing to me not out of spite , more pity

It's exciting and its well priced.....the banter is good with opposing fans... match day is not only a game of rugby.. its a social event to meet new people from other clubs and have a laugh over a few pints.

The majority of fans are already appeased , it is the minority who aren't , and as with most things , the majority wins , and rightly so

Without a doubt , and that includes the ones at clubs that would probably never be in a position to apply for SL , the real worry is the RFL are going to remove P and R from the Championships as well

I hope you're not serious ! There is no perfect solution but to condemn clubs to life in only one division is crazy,almost suicidal IMO

Super League does not represent what i want as a supporter, but as our top division it represents where i want the club i support to be.

I love the Championsip and i love visiting some of the clubs, Keighley and Batley being two of my favourites but the SL is where i want to see my team play. I would rather we earned the right to be there on the pitch and i got to celebrate at headingly like the cas fans did a few years ago, thats what great memories are made of. Thats what the championship clubs are being denied.

The SL is where the best games happen, Its where the best atmosphere's can be had and its where the only things worth winning can be won. But its a bit of a Bulls*it Gentlemans club that will be twisted and deformed for the greater good of the international game and of the select few clubs. Not that the international game has improved any. Wales are still crap, England are still crap, France are stll crap. In fact anywhere other than New zealand the international game is on its bottom.

The RFL need to get their act together and do their best to create a Second tier of SL eligble clubs, clubs that can be promoted without franchising without fear of them embarrasing the competition should they earn the right to play in the top division.

Franchising should be used, But it should be used as a rule to allow clubs to join the elite game at its lowest level. If we had a top division of

( obviously not in that exact form but Allowing promotion and relegation and Franchising based solely on the strengh of each clubs application and not on some pre set agenda, the game could truly grow, )

If you then levelled the Central funding to a degree between the two divisions then you would have quiet a solid league structure in which promotion and or relegation would not mean death, and that all the clubs were supported and capable of competing.

New clubs that wished to join would have to reach a set in stone standard, Facilities, Finances etc and if they tick the boxes they are in. No there is no room for you crap, Simples you make the grade you are in. If you are in and you enter administration you get expelled from the comp, you can re-apply once you have sorted yourself out.

The RFL are considering either going back to one league or a licence process between the two we currently have , all part of the re jigging of the Championships in March , as I said , they are considering it , that is all

The only club ever to suffer due to promotion was Leigh in 2005. This is the entire basis for the scrapping of P&R, although pro-franchise posters will pretend that P&R offered up un-competitive sides on an annual basis.

I suppose "suffering" is a relative term. One man's pain is another man's pleasure. 5 points in a season is suffering in my book!

Franchising is good, Franchising done well with solid criteria and less of a gentlemans club feel would be great. This is not how its done in Rugby league.

The whole reasoning behind scrapping P&R is flawed. Franchising should be used to select the clubs that are capable of competing at the top level of the game, Be that 5 clubs or 50. If we have 28 clubs capable of competing at the top level then why not introduce 2 divisions with P&R?. As long as there is a solid vetting process to ensure the clubs that can gain entry into the top division are capable of competing when they get there.

They way it is currently done is flawed in the extreme, For instance Quins will be picked over fax based solely on its geographical location. But done correctly there should be room for both these clubs and the things they can offer to the game at its highest level.

That's ok then , because there is this popular misconception that we financially imploded afterwards , when in fact we made a profit ( very small admittedly )

Yes we were rubbish , but using 38 players because of injury didn't help things , I don't recall much sympathy at the time though , unlike W1g4n and Hull Fc in recent years

In general though we the fans of Leigh enjoyed it and wouldn't have missed it for the world , it also brought fans back that had become disolutioned with us missing out at the final hurdle several times running
