seems like a beat up to me
the bit about debts being paid in a year is just a reading off the balance sheet of current debts.
yeah the guy who wrote the article did accounting 1A at uni, well done champ.
i could write a better article in 5 mins, and people are paid to write garbage like this

If we do let Cooke go at the end of the season then I would suggest another top signing would just take his wage anyway as there are no amazing youngsters coming through for that position so I dont feel Cooke is going due to financial reasons I just think the club feel their money could be better spent on someone more consistant and to Justins fancy.
'"
I seriously reckon Morgan had little, if any input into the signing of Cooke. The whole thing reeked of Hudgell & Lakin concentrating more on causing FC harm than acquiring a tangible benefit for HKR.
Unfortunately these things happen at a lot of sporting clubs, whose chairmen and directors may be very successfull businessmen in their own right but have a habit of leaving and business sense in the club's carpark

| If Morgan had a part or not Cooke was a big part in us staying up in our first year so for that alone he has been worth every penny. Plus the grief it caused our slack jawed neighbours was priceless!
The story is nothing new, that info was out three weeks ago and the HDM are just keeping up to their usual standards of reporting.

1: Wakefields stated aim since 2004 has been to build a new stadium, so why on earth would we develop BV any further for heavens sake.
2: Wakefields crowds dipped last year after SEVEN successive years on the up, hardly the end of the world. I have no wish to have a pop at HKR just at you, so KR fans please don't get defensive I'm just making a point to this doylum.
Wakefield have stayed in SL for 12 seasons WHEN RELEGATION WAS AN ISSUE. Produced a shed load of SL players many of whom became full internationals. Produced only the second British player to make it in the NRL in the last 10 years. Produced two of the best Academy team in SL history, last years being all conquering. Produced one of the recognised best cummunity teams in SL etc etc.
The RFL has never given Trinity a penny, it doesn't give any club money - what are you talking about.
So HKR have not done what Trinity has, but they have done well in the last two years and deserve the credit and so do we. So why not crawl back under your stone son and grow some balls.

Dally, how many times do you have to be told? The National Leagues don't exist anymore. If you can't be bothered to learn a simple name for the lower tier on which you comment so much on then i can only conclude that you're lazy with the rest of your contributions on here.

over the last few seasons rovers have
totally dug up and laid the pitch including new drainage
replaced the floodlights
put in a 1200 seated stand to the north
extended the east stand
extended and refurb the restaurant
built a ticket office/club shop on site
opened a club shop off site
set up a training ground (now to be moved to behind east stand)
installing new turnstiles (this season)
another extension to the east stand (this season)
and like yourselves lots of money spent on health and safety
don't think it is in the millions but this on top of having to assemble a squad fit for super league and a total revamp of the youth structure, it is easy to see were the money has gone .rovers were in a very tricky situation when it come to franchises. if they had gone down instead of cas i do not think they they would have been handed one so had to invest heavily . the rfl have put this burden on all clubs yourselves included .you could spend a lot of money on planning for a new stadium and still lose out next time round

Thick, ignorant and a liar, what a brilliant self recommendation. I shouldn't bite but seeing as your peddling slander I'd like you to substanciate the clap trap you have just posted.
1: Wakefield never lied to anyone and that is slander you have posted. At the time of franchise it is on public record that Wakefield Council were going to build a stadium at Thornes park. It later fell through due to many factors not least a gross under estimate of cost funding by the council. At no point did Wakefield fail in their part.
It is also worth noting for the hard of thinking a point the ignorant posters seems not to grasp which is this. WAKEFIELD got a franchise for 3 years because BV met minimum standards (JUST). We did not get it because of a proposed new stadium but because as a club we met C status and thus gained a place. The proposed new stdium did not give us anymore franchise points as far as I'm aware, it was just a part of our future planning in the same way a new stand at HKR will be in theirs.
Where the new stadium comes into play in for the next franchise where the criteria will be much stricter and Wakey along with a number of other clubs won't get a place if they don't upgrade or move by 2012.
There is no lie other than your own. Please visit www.swag-online.co.uk/
for this full history and current status of Wakefields new stadium bid.
2: What alarming levels have crowds fallen too, please supply data and comparisons with other teams.
3: Please provide evidence of said £15,000,000 received from the RFL. By this I mean factual evidence rather than just typing random figures. If you are refering to SKY monies please stop now before you are made to look even dumber, if that were possible.
Now go have an afternoon nap dally, Xmas has obviously not gone to plan.
