No worries mate and I know how you feel
The rugbyleague.com European Cup will see the six nations divided into two groups of three with each team playing each of the other teams in their group once. Pool One will feature European Shield winners Italy, Lebanon and Scotland who last year secured their first World Cup victory. Another World Cup side from last year, Ireland, will contest Pool Two alongside Serbia and Wales.
On Saturday November 8 the tournament will climax with a 'Finals Day' at which the respective sides finishing third, second and top of each group will meet meaning each country is guaranteed to play three games in total.
These matches will not only determine the ultimate champions but provide all important rankings for the 2010 European Cup which will include France and will see the eventual winners qualify for the 2011 Four Nations alongside England, Australia and New Zealand.

I'm 99% sure that France will be making way for the Pacific Cup champions.
They will then take part in the European Cup next year while the Four Nations is on down under.
The winners of the 2010 European Cup will compete in the 2011 Four Nations along with England, New Zealand and Australia.

| Apparently over 2000 watched the Italy Scotland game, IMO a decent crowd.
There were about 400 for the Ireland Serbia game, not so good.
The finals day in Wales could be decent day out, 3 games and seeing teams, never likely to watch again.

epic fail on the planning AGAIN. How many times does it need to be said...how good could RL be as a sport if the people running it had any clue what was going on?

| Wales v Ireland is at Sardis Road, Pontypridd.
Apparently the Italy squad that played Scotland was entirely domestic as none of the overseas players turned up. Hence the heavy defeat.

What's the point in playing the best possible when they've just been beaten 104-0 by a nation ranked 8th in the world?
There's ambition, and then there's just plain stupidity! Scores like that do no-one any good. Is it ambitious for an under 16s coach to want his team to play Leeds Rhinos?

| One sided walkover or not, it is still a hell of a lot more than we used to get international wise. At least it took place in Italy, with a fair number of Italians.

Next years games need to be in Belfast and Dublin, I'm not sure where the Logic was in putting the game in Tullamore with a hurling game going on that the same time.
But anyway great win for Ireland sets us up nicely for playing Wales which should be a cracker.

I thought it was Tiziano Franchini and not the coach who said he wanted to play better opposition. Either way I think he was well within his rights. There seems to be some confusion here as it's being suggested that he wanted to play temas better than the Scots. He actually said that he'd like to play better opposition [isuch as Scotland[/i rather than Germany and the Czech Republic, both of whom were beaten by Italy this summer.

Yes, it does seem a bit stupid to play it where they did. They'd have been better playing in Serbia. 500 for an international is shocking.
