you should been at the game after the match people was trying hit the ref the stewards had to get him out of the ground quick.the pent with chase was wrong it should have been knock on no advatage cas ball also what was getting on people nerves was evey time we scored could not wait to go the vidio ref and catalan first try was double movement and he did not go to the screen for that sets bad tone to the game.

It isn't a double movement if you bounce over the try line. He didn't NEED to go to the video ref for that.

And are you really trying to say the Chase penalty should have been Cas ball?

did catalan knock on before which they did was there any advatage to cas no so it is a scrum down steven bell did same thing in the first half the ref played on.

Did't catalans knock on, the reason the ball was lose for chase to drop on, no advantage to cas first knock on. I think thats the rule usually.

They had an advantage which Chase chose to waste by giving away a penalty in possession. The advantage issue is more applicable if the context was that Chase knocked on after Cats did.

But chase didn't knock-on. It was a penalty for incorrect play-the-ball. He wasn't tackled, ergo penalty. Correct decision.

Cas had advantage by the fact they got the ball.

Catalan didn't knock on, they threw it backwards (rather badly).
I didn't pick up the voluntary tackle from the big screen because I thought it was a Catalan hand on him.
I would hope he was yelling "play on" as Chase was getting to his feet though....

Just for the record i though Cas were shocking on Saturday night, we had enough ball to win the game and our edge defence was woeful.

The referee did not lose us the match, we lost us the match.

Outside of the context this really peevs me off, the only way I can see a player doing too many tackle counts is bad communication from the ref. I don't see why this should be a penalty offence, it should just be play on with the punishment being the loss of one tackle.
We got horribly done by this in the CC with the ref calling play on and then saying we should have ptb. grr.

Do you really think it was a double movement? Idiot. How could he have possibly stopped. The Cas defender bounced over the line with the attacker because of the momentum. That wouldn't have happened if it was a double movement.

And the reason he went to the screen for Cas trys was because they looked slightly more dubious, not because he was biased.

And it was a voluntary tackle. He wasn't tackled and then played the ball. Why should the ref bring it back for the first knock on? It wasn't an error the Cas player made, but a penalty.

I'm a Cas fan and its embarrassing to listen to the crowd moan so much.

Only if it was a Cas error though, not a penalty! For example, if Catalans knocked on, Cas dropped on the ball, then thumped someone, should that be brought back for the first kock on? No. The ref was right.

In that actual situation, that definately should be the ruling.

One reason it's a definite penalty (rather than a lost tackle) is that it throws the defenders off-side. This can easily be turned into an unfair advantage if done deliberately.

EXACTLY! same situation occurs when you hear the referee shout surrender, that's exactly what the attacker is trying to do most of the time.

Also i cant remember now but im pretty sure it wasnt a catalan knock on but a knock back?? could someone clarify that.

and of course no team would EVER do that would they, even if the opportunity was there.

I mean ALL teams and players/coaches abide by the rules implicitely.
