i stand corrected. it's going be on at 3pm on a saturday afternoon. would imagine most viewers will be rl fans and therefore will be paying more attention to the game than the crowd.

Theres a couple of things i would like to see at the next one ( if theres a next one)

1 Include a NL fixture which is either previous years nl1 champs v Nl2 champs or a repeat of the last NL grand final.

2 Have the SL champs play the Challenge cup winners

3 Then have the rest of the sl teams pick who they want to play depending on there finishing position until all fixtures are full.

I don't think it'll be as well attended as last year. I think if we can get around 30,000 each day it's a success, but I fear it'll be less.

I'll be suprised if it breaks 20k on Saturday tbh.

I just don't get the feeling that people are up for it. It isn't like Cardiff where the stadium is right in the centre and people can roll straight from the pub to the ground and back so that may put a few off.

I'll guess 19k for Saturday and 26k for Sunday.

Well 50 tickets have been purchased by the Casuals so we are doing our bit for the game.

As far as I'm aware (and please correct me if I'm wrong) but are not ticket discounts only availble for Super League Season Ticket holders ? Why ? If the RFL are serious about making the event a success why not extend this to Championship ST holders ?

I hope there are lots of promotions with local schools and loads of sweaty kids in there to sample some Rugby League.

Why? Are you underwriting the event? Do you lose money if it doesn't fill the ground?

Just enjoy the weekend and leave the numbers to the beancounters.
