Just for clarity, South Warrington (inc. Wilderspool) is in Cheshire and North Warrington (inc. Halliwell Jones) is in Lancashire. Always have been. Various changes have been made to the administrative boundaries including the major one in 1974 which placed Warrington Borough under Cheshire County Council. However, the real county boundaries were not changed.

So the real position is:
Some of Warrington is in Cheshire (the south)
Some of Warrington is in Lancashire (the north)
WWRLFC used to be based in Cheshire but is now based in Lancashire.

As for Wire's new kits, hmmm, bit odd and the shorts do not go with the shirts.

was saying to someone earlier, whether we've had in anyones opinion, good shirts or bad shirts, in recent years they've been pretty unique, and divided opinion.

2008's were amazing, 2009 average, then THAT. Id rather buy the souths jersey and pretend its wire than that, at least their colour scheme's nicer

And to make it worse, they've spelt 'Wolfs' wrong.

Change the yellow shorts and the white sleeves to blue, make the material less shiney and get rid of the thin white line on the away kit and they would look decent. As it is they just look cheap.

Warrington has been in cheshire since before i was born, my birth certificate says i was born in warrington cheshire and as far as i am aware the hospital is in north warrington.

We have our own borough which is why cheshire isn't printed on bins etc however last time i noticed we had cheshire police and cheshire fire service (with the main fire station situated only 5 mins walk from the HJ)

Those of us North of the Canal have always lived, and still do, in the geographical county of Lancashire.
Wherever we live, those shirts and shorts are an abomination!

From the general comments, I would say yes you are the only one that likes them.

I don't think the Wire shirts are particularly bad. It's just the shorts! They're awful and don't go with the shirt on either kit. The home shorts should have been white to match the sleeves or blue to match the base, not yellow to match the trim. Same with the away. Green or red, not white.

It's like they've purposely tried to make them look a mismatch for the sake of "fashion".

Did the design team sit around the table and say "lets design the cheapest,nastiest looking kit you can think of"?

Id imagine amateur teams across the country would moan if their new kits were those

Will say paul woods testimonial shirt looks great, could sell more of those than the official shirts

I think if you take the shorts out they're not bad.



The away did need to be green and white hoops with red lines to be like the shirts from the 90's though.

The first season we had Ellgren as our supplier our away kit was red with green hoops and flashes near the central band. The collar was white.

Personally I can't stand either of them.

as a wire fan i can say that these are the 2 worst kits ever in the same season

The overall design of each isn't TOO bad, but the shiny-ness is a definite problem.
