Could you really say that about Rourke?

Do not think Rouke is a threat to Max at all .When Max was in S L was taken out of the team many a time when he did not deserve it .Max this year as turned into a leader in the team and wants about 20 plus points to break the record of most points in a season.Know it is only the Championship but you got to give him Credit .Think the one year for Rouke deal says to me let's see how good he is

He should always be a threat. If not why sign him.
Max may well be better but he has to keep his form to keep his place same as everyone else.
That's what makes a good squad.

Re Rourke: Wasn't Max the Superleague "Rookie of the Year" in his first season and easily held his own as a SL fullback. This season has been an opportunity to review and reset and Max has taken that with both hands. Ignoring his excellent goalkicking, playing in the halves has added a new dimension to his running and attacking game. His decision making re run or pass has improved greatly and once he spots a gap he is using great acceleration and footwork to break the line. His passing has always been top drawer down the left edge but he has developed his game to be massively effective down the right as well.
Back to Rourke. He has had a great season and will continue to develop as cover for full back and will push Max to keep improving. That's how it should be. However, he will already have great qualities to bring to the team and should easily fit into the team on the right wing.

I posted a few month ago we should look at signing King. I’d be happy with that for sure.

He is also part of their leadership group.

I always saw him as captaincy material at Wakefield

Max was beaten to rookie of the year by TJ I believe.

One of those where I’m more than happy to see how it plays out. Powell and Mills obviously know more about him than I do, and who knows, maybe half a year out and a fresh start really will get him back to his best. Still can’t imagine he’ll be better cover than McGilvary, although that mightn’t have been in the club’s hands anyway. And just for reference, that announcement leaves our squad looking like below. Does the squad have enough SL standard depth at centre?

Good question. I’m not sure who’ll start the season in the centre out of Cam Scott and Corey Hall, but I see them as proven with plenty of room to grow still. Not world beaters, but could match most in SL at their best. Then we’ve Noah Booth who with a good preseason could be knocking on the door.
