Prediction: Dally says that doesn't matter.'"
they didnt win the minor premiership the last 3 years, manly won it this year.
melbourne have lost a stack of players over the past 2 years.
even with the best coach in the nrl its going to be very hard for them to bounce back.
have a look at the players theyve lost over the past 3 years. they are certainly back to the field now.

look ill help you :
Penrith have probably the largest juniors in sydney, around 8000.
Parramatta have heaps as well.
saints have lots as do souths.
Newcastle as an area has heaps as do queensland and nz.
now if you are saying that the eveness of the competition is because all clubs have good juniors, well many dont.
the roosters won the GF in 2002 with hardly any juniors. they buy from other clubs.
manly have signed many good players from other clubs to help them win the GF.
eg jamie lyon who was a parramatta player and mat orford who made his name at melbourne plus steve bell.'"
ill give you a hand, 24 out of 34 players who played in the NRL grand final, were playing for the team they started their career with,

yep thats exactly what the cap does.
wait till it does it in SL, the competition will boom.
you get 3 years to win a competition if your team is any good before the effects of inflation in players salaries mean you have to start shedding players and then start looking for juniors again to start the process of building the team up again

they didnt win the minor premiership this year.
the roosters won 2 minor premierships in the early part of this decade, made 3 grand finals then sunk.
the storm appear to be on that track as well.
bellamy is a great coach and they have managed to keep all their good players except israel but they have constant pressure under their cap.
they wont be able to keep any more good players or sign good players from elsewhere.
its going to be a big battle to hold the fort where they are now.

Gallop said the NRL would not survive without the salary cap.
"It's a foundation stone of the competition and if we were to have a competition without the salary cap, a competition based on pure purchasing power, then a few of our clubs, a small number, would be in a position to buy the best players," Gallop said.
"We would have a lopsided competition and ultimately clubs would be under financial pressure to survive."
And he received unanimous support from club chief executives.

he is probably still embarrassed about giving away the TV rights for a knock down price,
and shock horror, man who signs paychecks likes lower wages, i would never ever have guessed that, i never would have guessed that the only people to benefit from the salary cap would come out in favour of it

We believe the cap has delivered a distribution of playing talent which wasn't there prior to its implementation," Gallop said. "The benefits have been that fans of every club can turn up to the footy with a well-founded expectation that their team is a chance of winning. A competition where purchasing power is the determining factor is bound to be predictable. No one likes to know the end of the movie, and no one wants to go to a sport with the feeling that the result is a foregone conclusion."
The salary cap is taking longer to deliver results to Super League, with St Helens, Bradford and Leeds - the only clubs to have contested the World Club Challenge over the past six seasons, against six different opponents - again battling for the right to face the Tigers next year. But Hull's Challenge Cup win represents progress, with the cap starting to restrict heavyweights to such an extent that Wigan failed to reach the play-offs.

some sports have introduced a salary cap.
you might not agree with a salary cap but the RFL have one in place.
its inevitable its effects will soon be felt on the strong clubs, like it or not.
saints dominated for a long time, it looks like they are coming back to the field.
bradford were doing the same, theyve come back to the field.
leeds SL success is still recent. they too will soon start to fall.
hopefully a new club will rise up to take the glory.
Hull FC, Wigan, warrington and les cats cleary are the clubs most likely.
