I think most people who are season ticket holders like to sit in their seat, the problem I faced was that I wasnt willing to pay the money they wanted for my seat and they said the £25 ones where all sold, so I decided to give it a miss.

Then on the TV there was loads of space in the £25 areas........

Look North (Hull edition) are running a story today about how poor the sales at the MKM on Saturday are (6k sold so far, in a 25k stadium) sadly anyone watching that piece won't be rushing out to buy tickets.

The organisers have really mucked up on the PR with the high band ticket prices, all people are hearing is £70 a seat and that noise is blocking the fact you can get £25 tickets.

It seems clear Hull isn't ar5ed about international RL, they don't even get above 20k for England games.

I think the England-NZ game was the only one below 20k and that also had some daft tiers to the ticket prices which meant the blocks on the half way line were empty. In 2013 we sold out for England-Fiji.

We barely get 20k for the hull Derby last few years

Whilst our away support is great our home support is average really

Used to get 16/17k against leeds even nearly 20k against Bradford

Yet apart from rovers struggle to get close to 14k for any games

I dont see what relevence this mud slinging match has. Australia will always be a bigger draw then New Zealand. FWIW I think outside the heartlands is better as more nuetrals will buy into it, I doubt many will travel to Hull or Warrington if they are giving the sport a try for the first time.

Its being poorly organised in my opinion, they have certainly missed a trick. At this stage to have Eng, Aus and NZ playing on the same day is dumb. Especially giving NZ a game in a "heartlands area". Id imagine youve got some fans in Hull off to the England game, some actually going to the game, some will be at Hull City and most will have probably invested in the quarter final game.

The group stages are not selling that well but it seems the latter stages are, which will generate more interest. I mean the positive of Australia, NZ and England trouncing everyone is that it will project the status of the semis to another level IMO.

Coventry is not a rugby union city. A rugby union club from London transplanted themselves there and have now more or less gone bust. It's a football city. Either way, it was always a stupid place to play last night's game.

My take on it too, the group stages arent going well but fingers crossed the knockouts are big events.

They wont ever get big crowds to the Scotland, Wales and Ireland games until they start playing even just friendlies at home to try and buikd even just a few hundred of diehard support. Crazy that they didnt play in Edinburgh, Dublin and Cardiff or Wrexham the other week as a warmup to at least drum up some interest for the world cup.
