The hetherington's are just employees of Leeds / Wakey, they don't own any shares do they?

Is Mrs Koukash independently wealthy, or is it just the Doc's cash "she" will be investing? Either way, clearly a massive conflict of interests and I am sure the RFL will do whatever they can to stop it happening.

From what I was reading on twitter 2 businessmen from a company called ascot are going in with her so it will be nothing to do with Marwan.

I looked at the Leeds accounts a couple of years ago and IIRC Hetherington did own some shares but only very few. Caddick is by far the major and majority owner.
MjM might know more, he often seems up to date on the Leeds accounts.

There was quite a clear separation between Leeds and Hull though, as long as there is an obvious separation between Salford and Bradford then I don't see why anyone would complain.

This thread's hilarious. Yes, some Salford fans do get a bit precious these days, but the attitude from some of the non-Salford fans on here is brilliant. If it all does go tits up eventually, I'll take solace in the fact that 95% of this forum will be masturbating themselves into a frenzy.

What with Salford, potentially Bradford and the Swinton Lions development gathering pace the Koukash family aren’t doing bad for a family that aren’t interested in RL and will probably walk away in 12 months times.

All seems above board to me and any stability that she can bring to Bradford is a bonus. Having two businessmen with her obviously makes it looks less like a plot from Marwan. I hope that the businessmen are local, have seen her interest and get involved too.

It's not the first time someone's ever sworn at a press event and I really don't think it's worthy of the fuss it has caused. I'd say the same about any club chairman.

Don't know what the situation is now but pretty sure Lenagan was still majority shareholder at London when he took over at Wigan. I think there was a time limit put in place for him to sell his shares but don't think that actually happened within the time. London fans will know more.

Given this I can't see how the RFL could initially block any move on conflict of interests grounds.

This is a good move for Marwan in gaining support that he needs to force through suggestions such as the marquee player rule.

I'm surprised that we haven't seen stronger objections from some of the smaller clubs on this basis.

If Koukash's estimated wealth is accurate he could probably buy every team in the league.

Press interviews could be fun if she's as outspoken as him, especially when he starts going off about sex again and she basically slaps him down haha.

No-ones saying it is. But I can't remember a club chairman doing so, certainly not in so high profile a manner. No one is saying its a big fuss either. Neither is Dr Koukash as he's accepted (ie isn't appealing) the fine.
He did something silly, he's been fined. That's the end of it.
But some Salford fans appear to think he's being singled out by the RFL.


Then don't pretend people are "against" Salford or hoping it'll fail. All most people on this forum have done is use reasonable points to counter some points put forward by some Salford fans.

The top 6/top 4 thing being a good example. It's plainly obvious Salford don't have a top 6 and certainly not a top 4 team. Some Salford fans have, for some reason, taken that as criticism and "wanting Salford to fail" rather than just looking at the Salford team and saying it's not as strong as other teams.

You've seen the posts from non-Salford fans saying they think it's all a bit silly, too, right?



There's been a number of posts both in this forum and on the Scarlet Turkey suggesting people would love to see it all fall flat. If you're interested enough, you could have a look through them all.

I hope the businessmen aren't local, I think the club would do well to steer clear of local businessmen.
