The article is a fairly plain attempt at a guilt-trip for those stay away and armchair supporters, to get them to get off their butts and into the stadium. But I wouldn't expect you to actually acknowledge that as you're very selective in what facts you chose to take on board and those that don't support your arguments tend to get discarded in favour of ones that do. Did you notice the word "could" in there? It doesn't mean the same as "need to" or "must". It means, it would be good if they did.

it doesn't mention cash anywhere, its says a 6 figure sum that could be half money half points. Bartercard refers to points as a monetary value anyway.

it doesn't really matter because they could use the points for advertising agencies or printing press.

I won't bother...this deal will ensure that the 1.94 million in loans and investment the club has received in 2013 won't need to be repeated in 2014.

There was no mention of cash in the article I have just read. It could just be £100,000 worth in credits (As good as cash I guess).

If it is in credits, then basically the club will be able to purchase goods and services for Bartercard credits....it immediately limits the number of suppliers that can be used and many suppliers will only accept 30% of any payment in BC credits......the rest is in cash.

Because the company I run uses Bartercard.......I generally save up the credits and use them to off-set 30% of the Christmas BBQ....only one venue accepts 30% of the bill in BC credits...the rest generally say 20%.

Maybe better than cash in some cases. Like a business which issues a £100 voucher is issuing something with a built in profit. The person spending the voucher doesn't care, as it is as good as cash, and the issuer might (for example, depending on mark-up) only be parting with goods to the value (to them) of 50% or less.
