The dragons were given a standing ovation from the Cas crowd upon entering the field of play.


It wasn't a great game, good to have luke gale back out there, unsurprisingly Eden got a hattrick , we also scored a pearler from the kick off. We've landed lucky to have wire and Catalan either side of the cup final.

Why are you writing such things? Is it because of the result of last year's MPG? Or is it the MPG result followed by this year's magnificent Catalans triumph at Wembley?

Catalans gave us a good game that first half, took nearly 20mins to score the first try.
They did run out of steam last 20 mins.
Catalans were pretty decent to say they’ve done a lot of travelling the past week. Credit to them.

No it hasn't. They are hung over and don't care too much about a competition where they cannot make the finals.

Next year they will make a huge impact with the addition of Samuel Tomkins.

You deliberately avoid noting that Catalans won 2 of their first 11, and then suddenly started beating most teams, including St Helens and Warrington. They went from being poor to being great, after signing Joshua Drinkwater to replace the crippled Luke Walsh, because he performed the play making role that the team lacked until then.

Next year Samuel Tomkins will add more strike power to an already powerful team.

C'mon Catalans!!! Keep the momentum.

Why should they? It was an utterly meaningless anticlimax to the magnificent Challenge Cup victory at Wembley. The Catalans coach even rested some of his star players for this game.

He also brought back star thug Gregory Bird for the game!

But to actually talk about the match.

Cas were much better and once they'd scored there was only one winner.

Dragons struggled and Da Costa found it hard to get in the game.

Tierney was clearly unfit and three of the tries came down his side where Cas targeted him in the air and with running at pace.

The fans were brilliant to the few away fans in attendance and I am looking forward to going back there sometime as a neutral such was the quality of play from the Tigers.
