Same at Saints. I think it's just that all the clubs have them and so are still using them.

Stobart presumably haven't offered money to sponsor the corner flags/post protectors and so are not named on them. At present it would seem engage are getting some free advertising.

as someone posted earlier maybe Engage are still sponsors in some way, if so this is surely a good thing? People were moaning that Stobart were getting free advertising but then moaning that they aren't getting free advertising, make your minds up. The RFL said the Stobart deal meant they could get more sponsors on board maybe this is just one example of that.

Stobart are only title sponsors. That's it.

Previously, title sponsors had a lock out of everything: refs shirts, post pads, boards around the ground, etc. Apparently even the sleeve sponsors are open to new advertising (Heinz Big Soup). We are getting more money from new places as well as what we've got from Stobart... and people are STILL complaining about it!

How people can complain that the Stobart deal us rubbish AND complain that they aren't sponsoring EVERYTHING is beyond me!

Engage are no longer sponsors of any kind they just havent changed the branding as yet.

Stobart offered a million pounds worth of Europe-wide advertising instead, which is much better than £750k of anyones money.

The RFL rang engage last Wednesday to ask permission to use the post protectors this weekend. I imagine they are sorting out someone else to sponsor the new ones. Heinz tins or Iron Bru cans maybe?

Lets hope the RFL have got it all in hand! Think it would be better for clubs to sort out sponsorship of post protectors themselves, could tie in with local sponsors or main sponsor.

They do (or did). But Sky games have always had the SL sponsors on the pads.

At the moment though, I do agree you wouldn't really know it was the Stobart SL. They don't have the blanket sponsor coverage that previous sponsors have had. If it gets us more money in the end, then it's a good deal really!

Im actually not really surprised. I mean, the whole deal seamed to be done too close to the season and it's not something that you can produce over night and get shipped out. Although, you would have hoped they could have rushed a few through for the Sky games
