As tb pointed out, the points deduction is dependent on several factors. Crusaders were handed -6 because they carried over some of the debt to the new business whereas those you mentioned shed all debts and were therefore handed a stiffer points deduction.

Aren't both Rugby and Football clubs businesses? I don't see at as a very good investment for any "millionaire" to come to rugby because there isn't enough money to make and football is the place to be. They could however be doing it for the love of the club and if so then fair play...

If you are a rich man and can afford to spend 6 figure sums each year on a RL club, you have a very reasonable chance of walking out with your team at Wembley, live on BBC, at some point. The same is not true for football. Owners of football clubs are also typically putting money in, not taking it out, same as RL (with a few exceptions in both cases).

Read the link. Why did O'Connor take control of Widnes? Why did Moran take control of Warrington? To make money? Or to put something back into the community? You sound like your getting worried.

Not at all, you know that the final nail went in your SL coffin today and even if you appoint Roman Abromovic as your new chairman it won't make any difference as Widnes found out 3 years back.

That was three years ago, this is now. A cashed up owner in charge of Trinity and they become a different proposition as any club would. The RFL like their millionaire's.
