Hopefully more than Quins, Salford or Huddersfield.

You would have thought that they will bring more than Harlequins. If they don't...then we might as well take the franchise off them now before it gets any more embarrassing. Salford and huddersfield should both take a bigger away following to the likes of Wigan and Saints than the crusaders will.

Whats the surprise in a club from the south of France not bringing many supporters to watch a Friday night fixture at somewhere like the Willows?

The surprise is that you would therefore claim away support is an acid test of how much "genuine interest" there is in a club.

An even bigger surprise is that you can manage to switch on your computer without your carer helping you.

Catalans will always struggle with any real away support. The obvious reason is the amount of miles between them and their competitors.

The furthest clubs away from the crusaders would have to be Hull (FC and the Dobbins), harlequins and of course Catalans. This will have an effect on the amount of fans of even the most well supported clubs that travel.

Lets see how many fans the crusaders take to places like Warrington, Wigan and St Helens. It won't be many.

Will Hull be bringing more than 600 for the 3 mile trip to Craven Park this season or will it depend how high up the table they are at the time?

I think the crusaders will have to go down the 'We are welsh and everyone in England hates us' to attract support. It certainly won't be for the standard of rugby thats played which whilst being much better than the fare served up by the Celtic Crusaders last year, certainly won't be good enough to win more than 3 or 4 matches this season.

Ah the sad and bitter obsessives are out in moderate force with the usual lies backed up no doubt by a bloke in a pub told me. Wrexham season ticket holders were given the opportunity to buy crusaders tickets at a discount in an attempt to bring those guys on board and try to reduce any fears they might have about a league team suddenly turning up. Plenty of them seem to have taken them up so on behalf of the crusaders may i just apologise for the insanity, insanity i tells ya, of trying to introduce this bloody game to a new audience.

I think the important thing to note about the 'freebies' was that despite the snow the people with their freebies still decided to go. The ticket didn't cost them anything, so they could have quite easily just stayed in. I think that shows the interest the game had in Wrexham.

the reaction from wrexham football fans online seems in general to be 'its a positive for the town and the football team' attitude as well

Even if they were freebies - (let's just pander to the conspiracy theory), 9,000 free tickets were given out and they were all taken. If you gave out 9,000 free tickets in Halifax, Leigh and Widnes they wouldn't be snapped up so readily.

Also news to some of the Wrexham season ticket holders who were offered reduced tickets but not freebies. It is an initiative that is being run by both clubs and a good idea if you ask me.

Rather than just plucking 'facts' like you have above out of thin air and treating them as the truth how about a new idea called providing proof. It's a great new thing and it stops people producing statements that seem to have no proof and gives them some credibility. I wait with baited breath for the proof about the free tickets that were given away.

I'd love to get some of these tickets as the same thing was happening last year and mugs like me were paying for season tickets the whole time.

If you could also provide us with proof of the free tickets given away last season also. It is very difficult though when some clubs fans, Crusaders not included, seem to have exclusive access to this information, for example Widnes always seem to get wind of these free tickets before any of our fans do. Weird I think you'll agree.

A challenge to all fans who have accused us of giving away free tickets in the last 3 seasons then. Show us the proof? And I'm not talking the 200 co-op tickets that they gave away for every home club that had a Sky game either.

TBH of they'd given loads of freebies and 4-5,000 turned up I;d be worried. The fact over 10,000 braved the weather would suggest there is an interest level that can be worked on. I'd be happy to see teh RFL cover the cost of freebies and them get 10,000 every game for their first season, hopefully they could translate that into paying customers next eyar.
