Catalans Dragons are the best thing to happen to Super League since it's inception.

Correct along with Hull KR and Widnes will be added to that list.

SL teams wouldn't be able to 'cut their cloth' quick enough. They'd have existing contracts which overlap any TV deal, and sweet FA cash coming in. I suspect that were no deal to happen many would in fact be insolvent from day one - most are barely solvent with TV revenue. Same would be true without TV money in the NRL.

HKR are triple that. Hull's debts have dropped significantly, but still fairly high.

we just need a massive sustained marketing drive for Quins and Celtic.

Celtic are brand new and already have a bigger crowds than Quins (not a dig at Quins) even though they are routed to the bottom.
A Celtic team winning matches will be a huge success in SL and they already have an appetite for rugby.
Quins progress is just going to be a slower, there are many different sports down here that they have to compete with so marketing is God to Londoners.
RL is a slow and steady progression in the Southern Englisphere but it is slowly getting a foothold and will bare fruit in time.
Personally i think London needs ANOTHER 'big' club to drum up a local rivalry

RL has failed constantly in the south since 1980.

Not enough people support London Harlebroncos or whatever they are calling themselves today so another SL club in London would be a waste of time.

Let's get regular 6,000+ crowds at the Stoop before we even start to look at a 2nd team.
Having said that, the poster did have a point, as in a fulhamcrusaderbroncoquin fan does travel for a longer period of time for a HOME game that other traditional hearland club fans do going to an away game, but I still say, 1 club, make it work (which it will with the right management) and THEN look at getting skolars or their like SLOWLY up to a SL Licence level. TBH......2 Successful London clubs in SL in my lifetime........can't see it happening.

The same one thats won nothing since RL was seriously formed in London in 1980 despite being in a not too special competition.
