| Watch the opening exchanges of the PNG v Aus game...the Kumuls and their part time players were driving the Aussies back in the tackle over and over again.
Start the game with some fire, get them rocking backwards - something totally lacking in our game v the Kiwis.

Nothing sneaky about it.
Just forgot before I hit the submit key.
My thoughts on this are entirely consistent (unfortunately). For the English it is largely a mental issue. Early pieces of luck or decisions in favour of the Australians have, over the last 15 years at least, proved disastrous in big matches.

Give it a rest Walter. The worst cheap shot in that game in Wigan was Paul Gallen taking Sam Tomkins late with a forearm.
Don't you just love England-Australia contests? You can always rely on the Roos to whine before the game - it's either supposed "cheap shots" or the fact that one of their bouffant-sporting clowns isn't refereeing. Since they have their wish this time round (Tony Clown reffing) we can kiss goodbye to anything other than a 40-point thrashing from the Roos.

| What I most want to see is for the media knockers in Australia to choke on their cornflakes when the English turn in a good performance, in Australia, in a match that really counts.
Hopefully that will be this weekend.

| What I most want to see is England win this weekend due to Australian overconfidence and then England beat PNG and New Zealand knock Australia out of the 4 Nations next weekend
There is a lot in my life that I would sacrifice to see that happen!

| The thing that annoys me is that the authorities know England are pants. They know international league is on it's knees and being mocked mercilessly by other sports.
Yet it does absolutely everything in it's power to ensure England are given as hard a task as possible. The scheduling was harsh on England, Aus having a nice warm up against PNG (Why not England?) then England being away to NZ, then having to haul over to Melbourne to play Australia. They then insist on Archer as referee, that can only be protecting their team. Why on earth has a NZ or French ref not been given the gig? They want it played their way to their terms and following their pre-game instructions.
This rant by their players is only the lead up to it. Archer will be instructed to protect their players from the horrible, nasty English (Huge players like Sam Tomkins and Tom Briscoe).

Winning in Sydney the other year was nice to be at. Do you remember the aussie media going on and on before that game that we haven't won in Sydney since 1988. That was fact, however it dawned on me they only played there twice after 1988. SO I guess we could say we've won 2 out of the last 4 games there, or: Australia haven't beaten us in Sydney for 4 years now. But that would be like them, so we won't.

Australia had no warm up game before the 4 nations, while england had a game against the Maori. Stop the excuses, at the WC08 England played PNG in the first game and what good did it do?
I have been waiting years as Kangaroos fan to see GB/England get one over the Aussies in order to see international league return to its glory days. The Kiwis have stepped up, its time for England to do the same. Cut back the imports!

The Australian players never complained to the media, the article is a beat up in order to try and drum up some interest in the test that looks like it may be horribly one sided. The joruno's need an angle, and unfortunately England haven't given them too many on their tour so far.
I do have to laugh at the article reference two of the NRLs biggest grubs Gallen and Watmough complaining about rough treatment.

| The whingeing starts already - not content to have stamped their feet to get an aussie ref they are also trying to influence him by talking about 'cheap shots'.
It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.
The irony of Gallen moaning about someone dishing out cheap shots out - surely this should have been published on April 1st?

They are "great" at finding those type of useless stats and twisting them to try and extend the gap as much as possible. Regrettably, it is large enough without the need for much exaggeration.
Poor journalism, usually provided without context.

The difference is, we're all just fans - the Aussies whining are the players and coaches. Big difference.
As I'm sure you're aware, it happens every year without fail. Since the days of 'Bozo' Fulton every single Aussie coach has complained about refs, England tactics etc before a game - even Wayne Bennett.
If England do lose, as expected, it will be because we are poor. However, having Tony Archer reffing the match won't help us. I'd be surprised if he gives us anything - he hasn't in any previous games.
The thing that gets me is how the Aussies always go on about how they're so superior (which, let's face it, they are) - in that case, why make such a big deal about refs? Surely you should be able to steamroller us without home officials/bouffant-sporting clowns with a chip on their shoulder about the poms?

If you're saying the Kangaroos and coach are whingers and not the Australian population, then yes, that's a big difference to what sounds an echoing theme.
