great result for Bronco's and marginally better for Super League than Toronto. Having said that you could pick on one hand the players that are good enough for Super League. As some one else has said Nobby is a dinosaur and has been for years.

I think 10 of the 19 are cockneys.......no matter if they are SL standard or not, that is the massive positive from today......a Rugby League side with an academy ad a youth system won, rather than a rich blokes plaything.
Toronto will do well next year to get a sniff.......unless they buy a SL standard side. Argyle forking out for away teams travel and filling the ground with freebies is going to test his patience.......

I think Toronto should get less criticism about academy players. Realistically how can such a young organisation expect to have a well run efficient academy up and running.

Widnes should be made to share the parachute payment with The Wolfpack, Toronto are certainly deserving of it than Widnes.

Wane already has a gig with Scotland RU sorted and with the RUWC in 2019 he won’t be leaving that role, especially for Chanpionship RL. McDermott seems a stronger choice IF he wants the job (IF the job actually becomes available). Experience at London/Quins so knows what it’s like at a non heartland club far away from the rest and has coached the USA team for a couple of years in the lead up to the last World Cup.
