I remember widnes playing Bradford northern at naughton park in 1989. 2 Bradford players were wrestling paul hulme to the ground, 1 went to punch paul hulme, missed him and smacked his team mate by mistake.

OK, not at a game, but before squad numbers came in big time, Leeds did a range of t-shirts with players numbers on them 13 Hanley etc.

I bagged on cheap for my holidays with 1 - Tait on the back.

After a week of walking around a Greek Island and having the Scandanvians point & giggle (well, more than usual at me), I asked one of them what was so funny ....

Apparently 'Tait' or a word very similar in Swedish is their eqivalent of 'P*llock'

Not at a game but there was a forum once that was not derailed by Rovers and Hull fans ,IIRC it was an electronics forum debaiting whether 5ohm resistors work more effeciantly with slight moisture content in the air present

Strange then that the word NEW is missing from the signage in and around the ground

In my days as a season ticket holder at Welford Road, I saw the ball bounce into touch off a lovely clearance kick. Only it bounced at a right angle into a completely unsuspecting gent who had four pints (and was almost home and dry with them).

The first three rows of the section got showered in Tiger Bitter, and the gent had to go all the back to get a new four.

A few years back watching Aus v NZ at the dump called Loftus Rd. The ockers were stood behind their sticks waiting for a conversion to be taken when some numpty climbs over the barrier and attempts to tackle Willie Mason from behind, he just bounces off and lands on his , Willie just turns round and gives him a bemused look before before the stewards haul the bloke away.

1998 sheffield vs hull opening round of superleague that year. 2 sheffield mascots come on riding quad bikes - halfway down the back straight one lost control and crashed full pelt into the dugout and had to be carried off

Not RL, at Sheff Wed v Preston this year they had a talent contest at half time, this young girl sang on of Duffy's songs, alot of the Wednesday fans booed and she went off crying, thought it was quite funny

HKR pre-season friendly - Rufus the robin larking about infront of the Salford fans he failed to spot a dust bin in his path and went a=blackrse over =blacktit then got up and made even more a fool of himself by pretending he did it on purpose.

It wasnt his night tbf because he fell on hs backside again whilst attempting a conversion in the HT challenge

I rest my case

if the (rovers) website can't get the address right I'd certianly not trust it with the name of the stadium.
