I almost feel sorry for the Wakey fans, most neutrals underestimated Hull, Cas, Leeds and Hudds.

Warrington, Salford and Catalans overestimated.

It's been a good season so far though.

Whilst I had Warrington down for 3rd at the split I'm not at all surprised by their positioning currently.

For me the surprise of the season has been Wigan even though they are around the top (I tipped them for 1st actually). If you'd have told me that they would win ALL of their home games up to the split and still be sitting in 3rd I wouldn't have believed that. Their away form has been the biggest surprise of the season for me.

As for others like the Hull teams, Cas, Salford etc. Out a position or two here and their from a lot of predictions but nothing really surprising about were they find themselves IMO.

Not too bad! Swap Warrington & Leeds around and it'd have been an even better guess.

There's some truly awful predictions all round when you look back.

Leeds to finish outside the 8, Hull to finish bottom, Salford fans talking about how much depth they had, only for them to try to get a game postponed because of injuries, Wakefield fans protesting that predicting them to finish bottom was "lazy," every single post by Jean.

I guess its a good thing. Shows what a competetive and unpredictable league it has been.

Salford were overestimated because people were confused by the Koukash promises of great international signings, which turned out to be illusions.

Catalans were overestimated because it was thought that Todd Carney would play most of the games of the season, rather than just a few.

Giants in the top 4.... 5 of the last 7 seasons now, certainly consistent in the regular rounds just need to take that step and get the grand final !

Another 7 games to go yet. I don't think Cas'll push you but Warrington just might.

I can see Warrington giving it a right go. I think they're just ready to peak for these 7 games. Add in a bit of frustration at under-performing for some of the season and they're a team to be very wary of.

Hudds vs Warrington at Hudds ground is the game to look out for when the fixtures are announced. That could be the one to decide who gets 4th. Hudds win it and they should see off the threat of Warrington. Going with the other thread about the scheduling, it could be very interesting when this match takes place IF Warrington reach Wembley.....if it's played the week before or after then it plays into Hudds favour.

Yep it should be a cracking game and will be interesting to see if Hudds can transfer their good league form over recent years into a more highly pressurised, effectively a playoff, game and whether Warrington are proper contenders.

Also, assuming Leeds end up in the top 4, I wouldn't fancy facing either Warrington or Huddersfield in the semi finals, home or away.

Wigan have been poor and clueless in attack at times lately it has only been their defence that has got them over the line (as well as a few helpful refereeing decisions)

Yet that combination's put you 3rd. Could well be enough to keep you there at the very least.

It turned out that they were not fit for most of the season, esp Todd Carney.

Granted Carney has been a massive crocked failure but Albert Kelly has played 20 out of 23 matches.
