so there are at least 3 clubs with better squads than Leeds, and one or two more that could have, yet it will take another couple of years for Leeds to be knocked of their perch, meaning by the time one of these other teams wins SL, leeds will have won the comp 4 times in a row, and these are all the big teams, the ones who could compete with no or a restructured SC, and they are the 4 other teams to ever make an GF and Wire who have a rich backer and this it seems is evidence of the success the SC has had in levelling the competition

It's a question of what do you want out of a salary cap? Do you want a system (as the RFL appear to do) which encourages a levelling of the competition and sound financial management by clubs, or do you want the NRL system which seeks to chop down the tall poppies by bringing everyone down to the lowest common denominator in terms of what they can pay?
