And for your information Josh Griffin made his debut for Wakefield in the 2008 challange cup tie against Salford having come through our academy before Huddersfield signed him.

There almost certainly weren't that many there though if were being honest. Lucky if there was half that figure.

It's been said many times. 'Clubs' like Quins and Crusaders are only in SL because the powers that be are hell bent on expanding the game outside of the traditional RL playing area.

Sadly their crowds could total 5 and the RFL wouldn't worry.

They are 2 farcical clubs who shouldnt be allowed to be in SL but they are and all we can do is go along with it until they both go bust so many times the RFL wont bail them out anymore.

Actually that figure does include the standing area. Without the standing area the capacity is 10k. Hence the sell-out crowd for the first super league game in 2010 against Leeds.

Tbh i think i will enjoy watching wakey more in the lower division, that said we deserve our place in sl if we dont finish bottom. anyone whos played the game at any level know deep down that rugby league is about what happens on the field an not off it which sadly no longer seems to be the case in this once great sport.

The crowd announced seemed accurate from the TV. The fact that people are claming otherwise is pretty embarrassing TBH.

Seemed accurate to me, and they made plenty of enthusiastic noise. If Crusaders can grow their crowds by a few percent a year they're on the right track.


True story: I started counting them at one point and got to about 40 before getting bored, even during such a dull second half. I was almost half way through so just over 100 sounds right to me.

They're not on the right track by any means, the administration of the club is still very poor and I feel they won't really progress on the field while Iestyn Harris is the coach. However, credit to the local fans who are extremely enthusiastic and have taken really well to RL.

Especially as the OP says Cas took no more than 300.
