Yes, I meant in terms of sponsorship. Bookmakers can generate quite a bit of exposure if its go their interests but if Betfair did a good job, it wouldn't matter too much I suppose. Let's not forget that they aren't a traditional bookmaker so I doubt they would have much to do with clubs themselves. You rarely see Betfair in a physical presence. I know they have a 'shop' at Ascot races.

Don't mind the shield, it's just that they could have integrated "Stobart" in a bit better than white font with a red outline.

Martin Sadler has tweeted that Stobart have got a 'remarkable deal'. Implications that the Rfl think it will attract other sponsors. Better not have been an effing freebie.

That logo is terrible!! Who thought it would be a good idea to take a blue and gold shield, with the blue and gold superleague logo on it and then stick 'Stobart' across the top in biiig WHITE letters with a RED outline?!

It just doesn't fit, I know thats the way it is written on the lorries etc but either change the superleague logo to fit the sponsor or change the way 'Stobart' is written to fit the rest of the logo. Just doesn't look right as it is.

Putting those negatives aside..... glad SL have a well known brand as their new sponsor and hopefully SL have got a good deal out of it too!

Think it looks alright personally. What else could you do with it? They'd have got flack for staying with the old design and swapping the title sponsor. Is it normal to just change the colour of a recognised brand logo, what colour would you go with, do red, White and blue not go together?......sure I've seen those colours together somewhere before??

The main issue for me is the red outline. I don't mind it being white text, but the red outline just isn't necessary and looks tacky. Not all of the Stobart logos have red outlines. Some are just white. Some are just green. Some are navy.





Get rid of the red outline and it'll pass as acceptable.

Christ on a bike! Over 15 pages of moaning about the lack of a sponsor and when one is announced the moaning turns to the logo. Roll on the next 15 pages of barley water-guff.

Much worse, especially from their point of view. The whole point of their sponsorship is to have their logo on the competition badge, not merged in within it.

Echo those sentiments, badge is awful. Hopefully it'll look better on the sleeves.

You've clearly missed the convo that preceded that effort.

The point was that the RFL effort had the Stobart logo in a red outline that doesn't go with anything within the shield. It would look far better without the red line.

It already is merged in within it. They've changed the shape of the competition badge to merge it in.

If they're going to merge it to within the badge, they should have at match. Otherwise they should have done something similar to engage and Tetley's and have it outside of the badge.

By the way, does anyone know the terms of the deal yet? I hear people talking about our logo on the Stobart trucks and I can't help but thinking they're getting very ahead of themselves. There might be a few, but I'd be very surprised (and delighted) if it was anything significant.
