It's not often I complain about the performances of referees but Archer and his "team" have been nothing short of disgraceful. England might not be good enough but its not surprising that they underperform when put into demoralising situations where winning is made impossible for them.

To be fair he was off the pitch when the farcical play was going on. And he can't exactly square up to the ref as Australia are attacking can he. He has to wait for an actual decision to be made.

I was really looking forward to this game, thought we'd get beat and I can live with that. But as soon as we get a foothld in the game, the ref has killed us. Okay we've made a few mistakes, but come on he's ruined yet another good looking international.

Not going to get into the old 'ref cost us the game' discussion, but some of the calls today have been absolutely ridiculous. Some decisions which looked nailed on, go completely the other way and leave you scratching your head.

What don't you understand? Gleeson may have been a better player than Atkins/Cudjoe in the centres but what he may add on the pitch he'd certainly take away off it. He's bad for team spirit and on tour that'll really get highlighted. We're well up for it but individual players are to blame for making shocking mistakes.

I can only think of 2/3 players who have not made an error, be it a knock on, penalty given away mis read in defence you just can't get away with that at this level.

The squad was shocking in the backs, how many international games between halves (actual) and backs, about7? Tiny Clubb goes as one of 3 centres yet plays Cudjoe so why take him at all?

This is true it's the pool of players we have to pick from that isn't good enough. Get some proper quota rules in and start with the youngsters now, planning to beat the Aussies in about 20 years time.

Ive always been critical of the english pack. I think its cringeworthy when come october, 99.9999999% of english RL fans are chest beating about England having the best pack in the world, only to see it smashed everytime. This has been going on since 1890. However, I thought today, for the first half at least, the english pack stood up well to the bona fide best pack in the world
