Which bit? That Yorkcourt expected a decision/no problems with Highways or there was problems with PP application?

In simple terms neither club have any money, Cas thought they were going to have but presumably have come up short, its been ongoing that long that the outline planning permission is nearly out of date for GH who knows who cares. The ground at Newmarket is a community stadium for all three pro RL teams to play in if they choose, two of which choose not to, Newmarket is NOTHING to do with WMDC at all it is funded by various institutions all of which I dont know, but why should Mr Box want a feasibility study on the two grounds, simple really if Cas cannot deliver Mr Box would find his position as a councillor for a Castleford constituency untenable if Wakey got a new ground and they didnt.

| ![Smile icon_smile.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_smile.gif) There's no reason why the shared stadium can't be a roaring success for both teams, a 12,000 capacity stadium will do them both a treat. It's either that or lose your Franchise as neither team can afford to go it alone without substantial local authority backing, in the current economic climate after New Labour bankrupted the nation they will never be able to go it alone.

| My Solution -
If relocations of rugby league clubs happened in the United States Of Europe as often as they did in the United States of America, then our game would of expanded more by now. Instead the top flight is full of heartland clubs bar Harlequins and Crusaders. So come franchise renewal time I’d like to see the whole Castleford Tigers club relocate to Spain, in order to help the game spread. After all this is only way this club will able to survive in the top flight and do so in style.
Ideally the club would be renamed Costa Del Castleford and be playing out of the Estadio La Rosaleda in Malaga, which holds 28,963 spectators. Season ticket holders will be scattered all across the Costa Del Sol where many British people live to get away from the British weather, but not the culture. In this part of the world you will come across British style pubs and restaurants, that for away fans will be a much needed improvement compared to the delights of Castleford hospitality.
To attract new British fans to the game a marketing team will consist of holiday reps spiking sangria at welcome meetings and getting everyone to sign up for a day to watch the rugby. Spanish fans we’ll just sign up a Matador to slay a bull for pre-match entertainment. With the combination of all of the above Costa Del Castleford will be the best supported club in the European Super League.
There will be no more damp nights on the terraces for Castleford fans, unless they travel to England to watch an away match. Before long many struggling rugby league clubs will probably copy what Castleford have done in order to improve the popularity of the game. How long before New Craven Park and The KC Stadium become underwater ruins is probably only a matter of decades.
You heard it here first.

| This land loan scenario: who, in the current economic climate, is likely to lend money against a piece of land with a value that must have decreased considerably since the scheme was first proposed?
Whichever scheme proceeds is going to need council backing to quite a substantial degree.

| This idea was concocted last year, so the value of the land should not have decreased.
Besides, the market value of the individual plots of land is around £8m, but there is to be a £2m cap put on any money borrowed against it.

If true
Seeing as both clubs are now setting sooooooooperdooooooper league alight with their current performances, it makes sense for them to throw money into individual projects, add a few , more than welcome, how much do you want to sign, well worth it overseas players, and the clubs will be coining it in as attendances at both stadiums will double as soon as they open the doors.
The future looks bright.
2013 the grand Final Wildcats V Tigers!!!!
You can just see it can't you
Bring it on

| Or maybe we believe we can go it alone and be a success.
That's the only thing holding us back, our poor stadium and facilites.
Hopefully now all the hard work we've put into our juniors will also pay dividends and we can keep on developing quality youngsters and bring them through together.
We were academy champions last year and are bringing through quality young players, hopefully in 3/4 years time we can be playing out of a brand new stadium with a high percentage of home grown players.
Isn't that what franchising is all about?
Too many w*nker fans just wanting to slate clubs and slag them off at every opportunity.
Proper RL fans should be applauding Wakefield on being positive about being able to achieve their goals...
I wish Cas all the best too in whatever direction they take from here...

| If they can get their stadium off the ground then they are doing the right thing if they want to give themselves a fighting chance of playing in SL as Wakefield in the future.
It was hard to see anything other than them dying a slow death, or being forced into a merger, if they'd ended up at Glasshoughton.

That's about the size of it.
Our main bar to success is Belle Vue. When we go on a run, the crowds turn up, and the interest in rugby league is there for everyone to see, with it having a huge amateur and schools base. A new stadium will attract a lot of those of stay-aways back, as people will turn up to something new, and away fans will turn up in greater number, and players will be attracted to play there.

Of course they will!!!
Absolutely guaranteed!!!!
see under Crusaders/Harlequins.
Maybe a WINNING team might have something to do with it who really knows?
I can't of think of any club where winning increased gates to a large extent even though the stadium was not that hot, Can you? ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif)
