and i said at the time the worst thing that could have happened to my club was escaping relegation again because we were a shambles and needed to go down and rebuild - in 2001 we were relegated and in 2002 we did rebuild and we are a hell of a lot better for it!

The stadium was just one factor. Though I think fan safety should be a concern. The finances of the clubs were checked and several other factors.

Take it up with the RFL and the SL clubs who voted unanimously on the rules. Better stil start a thread on it.

in fact i dont think you will find any fartown fan who agreed with the decision to keep us in super league, despite the fact that hunslet and dewsbury didnt have the infrastructure to enter SL,
by keeping us in SL when we shouldn't have been, it set us back 10 years, we had to more or less build the club back up from the bottom,build the supporter base etc,which we are doing now but it has taken 9 years

Back to topic. Wakey seem in disarray. Despite some wakey fans defending it the treatment of the Watene walkers is poor. A poster claiming to be Demitriou's father (which no one contested) says there are other player related problems.

Maybe this all rumour and press spin. Maybe it isn't.

And I keep hearing about how we need London for the sky TV deal, but no one ever comes up with any evidence to support that claim. Its just the pro london apologists who keep bleating about the sky deal. People need to realise that rugby league just isnt going to work in london. They have produced, what, one decent player since they started and their crowds havent improved.

Checked out the England youth squads recently? Thought not - but Quins have a couple of players in the U15/U16s. Wakefield have, well, none.

Had a look a the growth in participation levels across Greater London recently? Thought not.
