We are still rumoured to be signing at least one more halfback, the Burgess twins are possibly another season away from being able to cement a consistent 1st team spot but it's likely they'll feature in the cup, depending on who we get or depending on how injuries/form affect our pack

I think I'm going to setup a website (part of my degree at Lancaster anyway) for people like you explaining the overseas/homegrown situation at Wigan. I'll then link it in my signature and I can point you (and the many other people engrossed with Wigan RL) to it in the future so I don't have to go through these irritating, small-minded, ill-informed conversations on the VT with people who don't have a clue.

Wigans imports are all quality. Its the cack that Hull KR bring over that is the problem

As Roofaldo says, Bradford are rumoured to be signing another half. We certainly want one, whether there are any available/willing to come is another matter.

If not i'd expect Royston or Ah Van to get in at FB over Halley, and Halley will be out for the first few months of the season anyway.

Depends how long he's been at your club.

As I understand it to qualify as home-grown a player needs to spend 3 years at a club whilst under the age of 21.
However even if he didn't as he's British it doesn't really matter since he'd be classed as Federation Trained instead of home-grown anyway. It's only really the Overseas trained quota that matters.

As Tad pointed out Leeds are beginning a transition with the likes of Diskin and Donald going so the next 2/3 years will be interesting.

I think there's only likely to be 1 more signing for 2011, hopefully a big second rower/prop as we'll be a bit weak there without Peacock to start with.

A couple too many overseas players for my liking in that squad but over the next 2/3 years a few will go and be replaced by British players hopefully. Jones-Bishop for Webb, Hardaker/Watkins for Delaney, Ambler/Amor/Pitts for Cross and Leuluai. Plus Lauitiiti and Buderus will be going as well. Hopefully a reduction down to around 4 overseas players would be preferable.
