Not sure a lot of that squad has any form, as there’s quite a few who have returned from long injuries. You could also say Tags form does not justify selection, more about Shaun Wanes preference for character rather than form.

Indeed, it is a long time until our next interntional (I assume we are playing before The Ashes, but cant find a fixture list), the final squad could be very different.

Shaul???? has already played international full back, for the Knights and England.

Was in the Knights squad, and played once against France in 2018 for England, my opinion is he isn't as good as Tomkins or Hardaker.

Been impressed with Taylor this year, looks alot better with some support.

Forgot Taylor was playing against Catalans to be honest, don’t think he’s been any good for a while now. First couple of years he was unreal, but lately he’s being decent and that’s about it. Same with all our local lads really who play in the pack, none of them have got any better.

Torn on Taylor. Undoubtedly he is FC at heart, passionate and is hard to put down. But when he gets the ball, our momentum slows down. He doesn't run on to the ball, and then lumbers forward trying to drag defenders with him, rather than hit the defenders, find his front and get a quick PTB

He was our cornerstone Dave, could destroy teams single handed, and seemed to play big minutes, somewhere along the line he’s lost that terrific impact which made him one of the best props in England. I would agree he’s a bit better than last year, and really hope he discovers that class again.

I agree he carried our pack but you cant blame fatigue this season.
he isnt playing the big minutes that he was.
His form has dipped but i think once we start to win games and the confidence is high Taylor will be back to his best.

Yes plenty of full backs in Super League better than Shaul.
Evalds would be a revelation in our team and i would make efforts to try and get him next season.

You and spegs have underlined my point, I don't know why, but Shaul is golden boy at Hull when, in honesty, he isn't that good. Honest and hardworking.

Shaul, like Houghton, started well but stopped developing as a player far too early. And also like Houghton, will never ever be dropped by Radford.

Think shaul not as bad as some make out. He made one scored one on Sun. Always a danger in open play and be better once the dry grounds arrive.

Shall we count how many shift plays result in him not passing to the centre/winger, running into their space and being tackled, or doing that thing where he avoids the tackle and runs all the way across the line?

Only if we can start a similar count of Houghton pushing someone else away from the ptb, only to pass it to someone stood still, or if we can count the number of times almost all of our forwards are ambling about looking knackered after 20 minutes, or if we can count the number of times Ellis has COMPLETELY outshone the rest of the forwards who are around ten years younger... the list goes on.

Maybe we can count the number of times our club captain has apologised for the teams performance in the media?
