Im a scots man who lives in hull and have done so for a long time, I had never even heard of Rugby League until i was forced to Watch KR play Keighly at Keighly in the middle of winter 9 years ago.
I INSTANTLY fell in love with the game and have never looked back.
Since then i have introduced several friends whom are now season pass holders.
Spread the word i say although i agree that Widnes should have been in.

Believe me I've asked them and they've never said no (actually they've never said anything!!)

Thats excelent, maybe if we all did what you did and brought a few people to games then we would see the stands fill up.

I think we deduced that Catalans can probably stay, however Celtic and Harlequins should be replaced with Widnes and another side TBC.

Better get rid of Quins and put the scholars instead, makes perfect sense to me. Then again I do still believe in the earth being flat, the Surrey panther, the loch ness monster, The royal family killed Diana and the moon landings where done in a studio.

I do believe all four of these to be true, actually.

Catalans have proved their worth; although the London club has little support, the expansion of the amateur and schoolboy game down there is immense; Celtic....bit soon to tell.

My only thought on this is that the average fan has to pay a lot of money each season to travel to watch their team play.

One in France is enough, if Toulouse make it then fair enough, but has to be by their own steam.
Celtic, don't think this one will work.
Magic weekend - sack it off, promote Widnes and Halifax instead.

Getting rid of the magic weekend would in no way help to make it possible for the rfl to promote two more teams. Toulouse are a viable franchise opportunity.

I am unsure how 2 French sides will help the game. As I am unsure as to how the Magic weekend helps the game.
We may dive backwards in quality of some of the players on view if you had more sides in SL, but as an FC fan, cannot see how it could get worse for us!

Put it this way, I would rather go to Widnes and Fax than Magic, Quins or Celtic. my own personal view.

It's a fair point, but it's not about the 'average fans' money these days, it's about television money.

People may not like it but we wouldn't even have a sport to follow without it.

We ' manage ' in the Championships
