I'm sure coaches are all now rushing to find a way to exploit this "loophole" in the rules you've discovered. We'll see the ball thrown into defenders almost every week now on the off chance it randomly ricochets into the path of an attacking player. Sounds a brilliant tactic. Much better than actually passing it straight to your teamate.
You haven't a clue have you.

| What amazed me about a decision was a new rule concerning it has only recently been implemented so should be right at the front of all the refs minds. When one of the Crusaders lads were being dragged into touch, Burrow had his leg off the floor and a second later the ball came free and Thyler gave a srum head and feed to Leeds for a knock on. Have I misunderstood the new law.
The ball hitting the hip of the Crusaders tackling player when it hadn't left the attacking players fingers, going forward and Leeds scoring amazed me.
But the best one was Silverwoods decision. Mind boggling.

| Really impressed with the Crusaders. Whilst they faded after 60 minutes, and Leeds put a few scores on the board they can take alot of positives from the game. I don't think they'll find their straps though until about round 7/8 as they're behind other teams preperation.
In Witt, they may geniunely have a halve who can create for them and if he can improve his tactical kicking could help pin sides back.
The target for them should be about 6/7 wins and to be full competetive throughout the season from round 1 to 27.

you're right on 2 of the 3 but there was nothing wrong with McGuires pass to Ali which unfortunately took a deflection forward. The initial pass was going backwards, it was just unlucky that the Crusaders player was in the way. Mcguire didn't mean to do that and had he got a better release on it it would have gone straight into Ali's hands anyway. He was getting crushed in a tackle at the time though
it's just the same as the rule though when if you pass the ball backward but it hits the floor and bounces forward then it's play on. At the end of the day day the player has dome everything he can to make sure the ball is traveling in a backward motion... It's just one of those things.

| well done to the crusaders, a gutsy display. i for one hope they do well and get decent crowds.
i thought ali's first try was fine, nothing wrong with it but his second was never a try. what a joke decision.
i like thaler as a ref but thought he was shocking last night.
all in all well done to both sides for playing on that pitch and in that cold. decent viewing.
nobody has mentioned the cowardly elbow on delaney as he scored the try. it was late and premeditated.
i hope the cowardly tw*t gets a ban but won't hold my breath waiting

no I'm dissagreeing with you so obviously I hav'nt got a clue!
I've never played the game at the top level, Ive never worked in the backroom at SL level or the RFL, I have no coaching badges and to cap it all I come from a family with zero RL background!
You know best!

But similar Leeds tactics are fine?
It wasn't premeditated that's only the Leeds players bending and "throwing" other players!!!

| The game very much reminded me of last years tri nations final between England and Australia. Both games were close till the last twenty all because both Leeds and Australia know that the opposition isn’t good enough and can be beaten towards the end in style.
On the basis of that game and preseason I’d like to think that Leeds will retain the world club challenge this year. Last year we was burnt out and manly took full advantage of that.
This year we’ll be a force not to be reckoned with!

It seems to come from the same family as words such as kerfuffle.
He seemed to be using it for things that were a mess and also when violence looked to break out towards the end. To be honest I've heard worse.

| Has anyone heard him put his house on things in ages?
He must be about 120 houses, 58 swimming pools and a couple of cars down by now? Maybe he ran out of money and has to work until his 80's

I always thought that Schmozzle was one of those Yiddish words like schmuck, glitch and kosher etc..
I think it must have been the spelling. That doesn’t look very Irish to me.

All Yiddish;
Schmuck = penis
Glitch = slip up
Kosher = suitable and pure
Klutz = blockhead
