| I'm not going to make predictions because they are always wrong, but there's lots of interesting plots this year.
Catalans have assembled a great squad but can they get over their abysmal away form? How will Wigan fare without Blake Green? Is it finally Warrington's year? Were Cas a one season wonder? Will Salford improve? Will Hull improve? Was the end of last season a blip for Leeds, or are they a team in decline?
Very interesting season ahead.

| I agree with the Courgette.
Predictions are usually way off the mark. The only thing you can rely on is that at least one team will fall well short of expectations. One team will exceed expectations. One of the usual suspects will win the GF.

| Saints back row could well hold them back. Thompson won't be a surprise package anymore, LMS has always been massively up and down, Wilkin and Flanagan are average and Vea an unknown quantity.
The rest of the side is top quality though and a match for anyone.
Wigan, Saints, Wire, Leeds and Catalans will fight it out for the top four IMO. The rest of the league could be in any order! It's promising that I don't see a really weak squad across the board.

Widnes has a weak squad. Only Kevin Brown and a couple of others are of Super League standard. I expect them to be relegated in 2016.

Your lack of logic is impeccable.
I said that the good recruitment at Catalans and Hulll KR will enable the super stars Todd Carney and Albert Kelly to weave their magic.
But good recruitment without super stars does not entail the same level of success as good recruitment with super stars, esp when it comes to winning silverware.
Salford has several very good players, especially Kevin Locke, Benjamin Jones-Bishop, Junior Sau, Mason Caton-Brown, Rangi Chase, Michael Dobson, Lama Tasi and Theodore Fages, but no super star.
That suggests that Salford has a good chance of making the top eight, but not of winning silverware.

I think Widnes punched above their weight last year and I'd be surprised if they made the eight again. But that statement is just silly. If they were that bad they wouldn't have got anywhere near where they did last year. Even if it was just a one off.

| St Helens' back row will hold them back ? Who makes this kind of stuff up ? They've replaced Soliola with a player who made more metres, more carries, more busts and more offloads than Soliola whilst playing for London Broncos. Macarthy-Scarsbrook will revert to playing in the second row this year rather than an extra prop as well, which then leaves them with Jon Wilkin, Luke Thompson, who is an absolute diamond, Flanagan, Greenwood, Josh Jones and other seriously high prospects such as Savelio.
Sick of reading such utter bull from Wiganers that can't see beyond the end of their own nose. A scumbag club, dangerously close to the financial abyss and relying on grub tactics to compete. This lot still don't even know who their standoff will be next season whilst St Helens have signed arguably the best in the comp. Their pack got smashed so severely at Old Trafford that they relied on outside backs to gain territory, so concerned were they with taking Saints on up the middle of the field.
Despite this, the top two will be St Helens and Wigan by a distance. If Wigan can manage to keep 13 players on a field and actually play rugby as opposed to some hybrid sport involving rugby and assault, they may even give St Helens a game when it comes to big games, despite Saints' so obviously weak back row All this from a side that seriously runs with Gelling in the centre and Bowen at full back.
The rest are just making the numbers up. Not interested in where they finish.

Todd Carney is no super star mate, neither is Albert Kelly both good players nothing more, Carney couldn't weave his magic to help cronulla so why would he with catalans? In fact I'd go to say chase and locke are both of higher ilk than both of those players, Salford eased passed Catalans at home this year Salford are very much on the rise and tbh no one player will make a difference as we well know with Salford at the start of the year it's playing as a team and working hard that we Salford fans saw at the end of the year.

Carney was banned for half the season. The club was missing most of their pack for half the season as well. How could he weave his magic to save the club? The team had been decimated before he was sacked.

| A lot of people writing us off already. What's all this about punching above our weight ? It's the worst excuse you can use because you can't think or back your argument up with any evidence. Lazy
We finished 8th for a reason, never once were we out of the payoffs in the regular season.
Hull? A lot of people assume they will be in the top 8? On what basis. They were woeful last season and with a couple of signings I can't see much changing.
Castleford will be interesting. Losing the likes of Clark, Sneyd and Huby and replacing them with Scott Moore and Luke Gale may have a huge effect on them.

You were very good last year. I thought you would fade away but you kept pushing on and then competed well in the playoff game. You consistently won the games you were expected to win and caused a few upsets along the way. I can't take that away from you. But I think Salford, Hull and Rovers are all better teams, despite how poor they were last year.
