Exactly, they’re at small club level in terms of finals. Those 4 are probably going to be the bottom 4 this season.

You understood it perfectly fella.
Infact iirc the sky narrative for this game was lees inclusion and amor's omission.

| Quote ="Him"To answer your question Warrington last won a final in 2012. However to take the mick out of a team that actually manages to reach finals these days seems a bit silly for a Saints fan.
Last 10 seasons
League Leaders:
Saints - 2
Warrington - 2
Cup Wins:
Saints - 0
Warrington - 3
Grand Final Wins:
Saints - 1
Warrington - 0
Total Final Appearances:
Saints - 4
Warrington - 9
Total Trophies:
Saints - 3
Warrington - 5
Saints have only won 1 Final in the last 10 years and they needed to play against 12 men in that one to win it.'"
Choosing to read what suits you I see. My post was in response to Cat taking the mick out of Saints fans disappearing since we stopped winning trophies when we’ve won one, more recently than Wire. I was making the point that it’s a bit silly for a Warrington fan to take the kick out of Saints not winning trophies. Have to add that getting to finals and losing them is not success. I also see how you’ve conveniently missed out that Saints played 78 minutes of that match with no halfback on the pitch and Mark Flanagan at 7. Guess that bit doesn’t suit your agenda.

| Quote ="ThePrinter"And had Ben Flower not had his brain fart then Wigan would’ve won that final comfortably.
Quite damning for Saints as a ‘big club’ that since their last final appearance 7 of 12 SL clubs have reached one of the 2 major finals with Saints being in the same company as Salford, Wakefield, Hudds and London as having not done so.'"
Your point being what? You’re implying that 7 clubs are ahead of Saints in that time period when 3 of them have won the same amount of finals as Saints in that time: 0. Therefore 8 SL sides have won nothing (apart from LLS) in the last 4 seasons. Getting to a final and then losing it is not success or an achievement to be proud of. One of those teams with that zero next to their name from 2015 onwards has had the biggest budget in the league in that time as well.

Nonsense. Better to win the finals, but most fans would agree losing in the semi-finals in the worst outcome. Also, financially, there is a great deal of success from getting to finals, win or lose.

I've always thought getting to a Grand final is a great achievement for both teams, losing one is one of the greatest dissapointments in a players career, winning one is the ultimate success for a players career, you could also say the same thing from the spectators perspective.
Getting to Grand Finals with a zero success rate however must be one of the most depressing situations to get that "monkey off your back". If Warrington eventually win one then I will be one of the first to congratulate them up until then we will always take the mickey out of them Being there Year.

Nothing particularly prophetic about predictions for 1st and last.
Hull will be flying under the radar after their horrendous finish to last season but still think they have far too much quality to be outside the top 4 or 5. Cas & Wakey have good settled squads and will lead the way for "the dark side".
Could be a transitional year for Wigan with the departure of some big names and a new coach but it's Wigan so they'll still comfortably finish in the tiop 8.
Despite a couple of well known NRL recruits I'm still not convinced Leeds can mount any sort of serious challenge in the league/play offs. Moon will be a big loss for them. As for Catalans, it'll be the usual mixture of utter brilliance and total ineptness but if they can get their act together consistently then they could be genuine top 4 challengers.
As for 9,10 & 11 it's a tough call. Personal.bias and massive faith in our spine means I'm tipping Salford to finish "best of the rest". Whilst we lack serious pace in the backline and our pack has been weakened by the loss of Kopczak & Tasi, our 6,7 & 9 are top quality and this should produce some decent ball for the likes of Sa'u & Evalds to have bumper (by Salford standards) try-scoring seasons.

Even Catalans. There's the prize money for a start with, the opportunity to build fan base on the back of success, extra merch sales etc etc. Plus, in their case, what should be a good pay day at the Camp Nou.

| If Tuimoala Lolohea and Konrad Hurrell lose weight and get into a trim condition, then they will be explosive. In which case Leeds, given the addition of Trent Merrin, and the return of Kallum Watkins, are guaranteed a top four spot.
The matches Catalans vs Leeds, Catalans vs Warrington, Catalans vs St Helens, and Catalans vs Wigan, are going to be the clashes of the season.

| Jean, do you have kids ? Perhaps you could bring them down to wheldon road for R1 as it's kids for a quid. Would have thought the dragons will be licking their lips at injury hit Castleford who will be without internationals Lucas Gale, Oliver Holmes and Benjamin Roberts, with stalwart Grant Millington a doubt the dragons will have a great chance to win at Wheldon Road for the first time in years. This game could be a close one and come to down to the know how of the coaches.
Cas by plenty.

| It is a shame for the top flight of our sport in this country to already have the relegated side clear in everyone's mind before a game has been played. I wish it weren't true and that London could make a fight of it, but I just can't see it.
The championship should be an absolute cracker though. At least 8 teams credible prospects for the top 5. Perhaps between Swinton and Rochdale for the drop.
League 1 is a curious hybrid of a league to let expansion teams find their feet, and a potential graveyard for established clubs. I don't like the gloom surrounding Donny for example (and Hull owe them some decent young lads under DR as a thank you for them voting with SL teams), but on the flipside West Wales are going about their thing with quiet determination. I hope the 100 point maulings are now behind them. Surely Workington will be coming up.

| gonna be close at the top this year
1 - Wire (yes biased but think its the most depth I have seen us have for a long time)
2 - Saints (still looking a good side as last year proved)
3 - Wigan (tough year but they always surprise)
4 - Leeds (think they will bounce back after last year)
5 - Wakefield (looking a strong team this year worry about depth)
6 - Catalan (will improve on last year)
7 - Castleford (Loss of Gale will hurt them)
8 - Hull KR (may edge their fiesty neighbours)
9 - Hull FC (sorry)
10 - Huddersfield (Slightly more power than salford and london)
11 - Salford (they Hope)
12 - London (Sorry)
GF - Saints
CC - Wakefield
MOS - Austin
