I doubt it's Leeds, Burrow or Sutcliffe will step in for McGuire. If I had to guess I'd say Salford or Saints.


Yeah Leeds generally operate under the cap, by about £100-150k is what I've been told.

A lot of rumours at the moment that Saints are trying to release Josh Perry with immediate effect, freeing up a quota spot and a fair amount of cash as our top earner (depending on how much we have to pay him off to get rid). Would love to see him over here with Saints but thinking about it doesnt look likely

You have to imagine it's a top 8 side because Salford / London signing him for the rest of the season is a bit of a waste of money when really they'd be better looking for a permanent replacement next season.

That being said, Hudds/Wigan/Warrington/Hull(s)/Catalans don't need him, Saints have denied their interest and I can't see Leeds bringing him over as we're not ones to disrupt the team mid season nor spend the kind of cash needed to bring him over.

Would be pointless for Salford to sign him. We've no chance of making the playoffs. Can only see him going to a top 8 team at the moment as it would be a waste of money for the likes of us, London, etc.

Salford need a promotional signing regardless of how much it costs. Koukash has talked the talk and needs a quick hit to prove he means it. Soward kind of fits the bill even if it would be pointless in relation to the table and he would struggle to work behind a beaten pack.

Don't think we're particularly bitter about losing Moon - but when you look at performances last night you can see how much we miss players like him.

It's more galling as it's not the first time we had the dirty done on us. Years ago Hudson Smith was apparently pining for home and ended up playing a season at Bradford. At the rate of moving back to Australia at approximately 40 miles a year, they may just make it to the continent in their lifetimes...

A month before the 1/4 final, his visa would take a few weeks surely, so I still don't think it'd be worth it.

He'd be handy for Widnes. Give them a real crack at getting in the eight with Hanbury, Brown, Soward and Clarke at 1,6,7 and 9. Cross is leaving at the end of the year, may be sacrificed to bring him in?

If he wants out of the NRL fast then his best bet would be the Catalans.
Work permits in France don't take long and he would be a very good signing for them.
They are a top club and still in the C Cup.
Also the weather is more suited to Aus than here.

Whilst I'd like him at my club, surely someone like Salford, who want to attract new fans to the dr's revolution should be going for him?

I imagine they would but it's not likely they will offer playoff Rugby. I'm sure he's like a pop at silverware as well as a nice little top up to his salary.

He is rubbish most over rated player in NRl his nickmane is Jamie Coward, I was in Oz last year for 6 months watched him play on numerous occasions and he is terrible.A few of my mates are from Wollongong and he is a luaghing stock there.He has a decent kicking game but he never takes opposition in he will play whilst he is 80
