They get full time deals with the SL club, or get DR/loaned orare released (to join another club or persue another career path).

| A number of champ clubs notably fev and sheffield have spoken out against it as i think have leigh and fax. Would you watch your team if ten of them belonged to someone else

| Doing SLs development work for them. This is purely a cost saving exercise to the detriment of the players and the championship clubs. If you can't afford it pay your players accordingly.

| If this happens it will mean that 1 year into a licence period , the RFL will have altered the criteria for having a licence
And people wonder why fans/exfans like me get fed up ?
If they are going to have licencing the least they could do is set rules for a licence period , and stick to them for that licence period

Already has, IMO - feeder clubs would indicate we're moving towards out and out franchising rather than reverting to P&R.

| Since why don't they. Even if there was p&r recruitment and coaching has to be right within the budget to stay up. Position should be earned on the field and within a solvent environment.

Anyway lets not turn this into another P+R debate, suffice to say i dont think we would be moving towards feeder clubs, which this seems to be, if those same feeder clubs were likely to become challengers to the parent clubs.

| I'll just say one more thing to explain what i meant to avoid your "you are stupid statements". I meant your position throughout the leagues. Not just in a single league. The DR/Loan quota of 4 is fine as it is. If they can't afford the players let them go and sign them later.......for a fee.

If the league is still there they probably will. But this is unlikely as only 6 teams entered this year. I think a lot depends on whether the NCL allows dual registration of Championship players.

WTF are you talking about. Although this is how you win or end discussions by trying to tie people in knots. Who is paying more i am referring to SL clubs affording them. What is wrong with the current system. Why change all the age groups, why strangle youth development. After all that was a criteria in licensing. Rules changed again, just like the administration rules were changed a few weeks before crusaders originally went into admin. Anyway in short i know what i mean and i know i along with many others are ready to walk away.

You stated that you wanted the position within the league structure to be dependent on what happens on the field. This would have meant Hunslet Warriors joining Championship 1. I asked you if that is what you wanted? Pretty simple.
You then said if SL clubs couldnt afford certain players they should let them go, drop them down in to the championships, then buy them back at a cost. I was simply pointing out the obvious contradiction in suggesting a system where when clubs can't afford a player, they are asked to not only pay his wages but a transfer fee also.
What is wrong with the current system is that the jump between academy RL and SL is such vast chasm that our youngsters often end up under-prepared for first team rugby, they don’t have their deficiencies ironed out early enough, and they aren’t playing against high enough quality at a young enough age, they aren’t improving how they should and that filters to the rest of the game.
Im not sure this particular system is the best way to go about it, I think we should be looking to more youngsters not less and when it comes to youth development, I don’t think any idea should be off the table, I wouldn’t be particularly averse to banning anyone under 19 playing SL, taking all youth development away from SL and implementing some kind of draft system but I also appreciate that there are some clear structural reasons we cant do that at the moment.
Im also not sure why some fans seem to see that formalising the championships place in the RL pyramid as being between the amateur game and SL as being somehow insulting
