I seriously believe the time has come for RL to adopt the football ruling of any raised hands (in a punching/striking motion) results in an automatic red card and a 3 game ban. None of this hiding behind the "On Report" cop-out.

I think you'll find I wasn't the only one. I didn't personally attack Stosic at all either, I just suggested that he must have biscuit bones if that impact broke his eye socket, which incidently it didn't. It didn't break his eye socket or anything else for that matter, so in reality I was right and it was just a nothing incident blown out of all proportion by a lot of fawning and jealous supporters of other clubs.

Pitiful defence of Cunningham. Get real. It was a petulant act worthy of a penalty and absolutely nothing more. We see worse things happen every game and a couple of the high shots from Wakey at the weekend were much worse. But hey, who cares?

Well done the RFL for seeing as it as it was...nothing.

If anything, Stosic should be banned for rolling around as though he has been shot. We dont need that kind of play acting in rugby league

Then he milks the situation........he would be better of playing Footall where this behaviour is more tolerated.
Its good that the RFL saw it as very minor offence and nothing else.

The injury sustained should have no bearing on the RFL decision, at the end of the day it was an unprovoked cheap shot & he should have got at least 2 matches.

Agreed, any decision should be based on intent not how bad an injury was sustained. That said Cunninghams action were intentional (striking) - 2 matches for mine.

That depends, a player could 'accidently' punch Cunningham, when he wassn't expecting it really hard so Cunningham came off worse?
It would be accidental, so it would of been fine.

I can't imagine there are any players actually scared of giving him a crack & there's no point worrying about the disciplinary board as they've lost their balls.

Or they could tap him with the ball carrying arm whilst flat on the floor and do no damage.

All this thread does is confirm that Keiron Cunningham is still the MVP of Super League. I've never seen such OTT responses and allegations over such a minor, not-worth-mentioning incident.

If any player wanted to try it, I would suggest they phone for an ambulance first. There should be a health warning, if you mess with KC you are in immediate danger.

But on a general note you will find with all this messing about at the play the ball, I think players are getting more frustrated in trying to get on with the play. It will probably get worse until the RFL come to there senses and do something about it.

He'd certainly have the fitness edge in a fight. All those years spent running away from Aussies.........

Perhaps Steven Gerrard should hire the RFL as his defence.
