Agree with this. Their approach to the way the game is played is a disgrace - and that is a view shared with a majority of Super League head coaches. Leeds vs Saints for old times sake.

A Saints versus Wire or Leeds for me, probably Wire v Saints for fast open attacking rugby. Anything with Wigan and there "road kill" tactics might put a few neutrals off from attending the final.

Looking at tonight's attendance it seems the Wigan fans have had enough of their tactics as well.

Love the irony of Stains fans slagging off Wigan's 'brand' of Rugby. This was a team that based it's success on 'piggybacking' up the field using quick PTB's, which made for penaltyfests and a game which, although lightning quick, was very, very hard to enjoy as a purist.

The rules have been changed to stop this, and it's Wigan who have adapted to it better. Games are much more about the tactical battle now, but we still have good, entertaining rugby.

Getting 5 men into the tackle and holding down for three quarters of an hour doesn't make for entertaining rugby for anyone other than the most staunch Wigan fans.

Were Wigan not playing them in the Semi, I'd have like to have seen Saints in the Grand Final this year.

Would be fantastic to see them lose a FIFTH straight one! Only three more, and they'll have lost as many grand finals in a row as we won Challenge Cups!

Better to reach the GF and lose than to not get there at all.

Better to lose 5 GFs on the spin than to have to cheat the salary cap to avoid relegation.



I'd certainly rather reach, and lose, another GF than settle for defeat at the weekend.

Saints used to be a fantastic side to watch and for a long time played by far some of the best rugby in Super League but its hardly that now. Warrington play attractive ,off the cuff rugby and they should be applauded for this but all this from other fans that Wigan dont, or can't, play open attractive rugby league is absolutely rubbish.

Had I said "if we reach the final I don't care if we lose" you might have a point. But I didn't, I said I would rather get to the final and lose than not get there at all. If you think hard enough you'll work out the difference.

In that case, we're on the same page aren't we? Because I'd love you to lose a fifth final in a row, too.

Never been a fan of the panic style rugby Sts play. They are the main reason we lose all the time to Aussies. England coaches think sts really meant some of the things they do/did, when all the time it was just sheer panic as the Aussies revealed when sts made up most of the GB team. So for that reason alone, I'd never want Sts to reach any final. Same goes for Warrington but down to the fact that they've bought a side rather than develop one like Wigan have. As for Leeds, I reckon Leeds Wigan would make a classic final.
