A step in the right direction, I can't have being the only one who was expecting this to be a very poorly attended game. So to get over 10,000 for it is very encouraging. The four nations as a whole has not had a single tournament where every game has gone over 10,000. If the Welsh can attract a decent crowd against the Aussies then it shows how the international scene even if it is baby steps is improving. If only Crusaders were run better then I could have seen the welsh at least giving England a game in a few years time, I do fear now though that the majority of the welsh players will now go back down to a part time level.

France have also got some superb attendances over the past couple of years, I really think we should be more optimistic as opposed to pessimistic. Just think a few years ago the welsh and french were laying a tournament against our second team, so it overall it shows how far them countries have come in RL even if they are still getting tonked on the scoreboard.

On another note why do they charge more for international games along the side e.g. 25 by 20 yards or 35 in the middle. There is no logic in this. This never happens in domestic games in most sports so why should it be any different. It gains nothing.

Its a novelty that would wear off quickly particularly if the crowd gets on your back. However there is no better feeling then scoring a match winner in front of 70,000, I mean when you are younger you don't want to make it for the money you do it for the challenge cup finals.

Welsh fans were great.
Stadium parking isn't ideal, I live a 20 minute walk away in lowton and my mrs said there were cars parked outside our house and st Helen's rd was rammed.
It's not the stadiums fault there's no railway line, but shuttle buses from atherton an Newton are easy to run.
£30 for a ticket for a game you know the winner to is way too much.
