finch is also a good half back.

That is why Parramatta were such a good side - Smith was rubbish - overhyped - he simply did not deliver on the field.
Finch is so good even Bird got the SOO gig before him - get a life at least watch a few games - you might educate yourself

Just to make it simple for you.
Nathan Hindmarsh is not a stand off.
You have claimed earlier in this very thread that stand offs in the NRL make 30 tackles a game. All ER is asking you to do is to provide some evidence of this.
Stop avoiding the question by making statements about your laughter and answer it. Then people may start to take you a little serious.

Yes that is on another tangent.
However, ER is attempting to clarify your point that stand offs in the NRL make 30 tackles a game. You said it, now can you back that up ?
If you can't then just accept that you were incorrect and exaggerating and stop avoiding the question. It is so obvious its embarrassing.

| dally,
Why do you think McGuire would not adapt as well as Ellis has, given that McGuire was a better defender (in terms of tackles % rate) than Ellis?

too small to play at 6.
could he adapt eventually at 6, maybe so.
would a club risk him straight off in that position, doubt it.
if you read my original post on mcguire i said i doubt a club would start him at 6 due to his defence and then i named other positions he might get a start at.

I know that but Benji has played 6 for years, regardless of the 3 games at 7 this year. Wernt Wests once talking (3 or 4 years back) about signing McGuire and moving Benji to 7?
Dont know ho that would have worked because they both tend to play the game identically, and when they are off then you really know about it ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_lol.gif)

| the bulldogs were the team interested in mcguire.
it was after leeds beat them in the WCC and they saw how good he is.
i still believe that would a current NRL club want danny mcguire for the 6 position?
no way in hell.
would they get him as a utility and then maybe after a few games give him a try there, maybe.
benji is a much better player than mcguire anyway.

There are 3 clear points in this thread.
1. Could McGuire make it as an NRL 6.
2. The ability of Nathan Hindmarsh in tackling.
3. Your assertion that NRL stand offs make 30 tackles a game.
All anybody is asking you to do is prove your 3rd point. You however refuse to do so and continue going on about point 2 as this clearly isn't a valid point so you can sit on your high horse regarding it.
Thats me done on this thread, can't be dealing with people who completely avoid clear questions.

well when im satisfied on the earlier points ill answer the later points.

But he has missed 13 - so in reality he has actually made 87 tackles.
I have not said on this thread that Hindmarsh is not a good defender I am merely pointing out that your assertion that "Hindy hardly misses any tackles" is not backed up by fact.
My point that anyone who attempts as many tackles as he does will miss a few is bourne out by the stats.
Now please show us the stats backing up your claim that half backs in the NRL make 30 tackles a game.

Finch wasn't the one who played game one when somebody pulled out scored a late drop failed to gain selection in game 3 in favour of Barrett didn't play origin again until 2006 he played game 1, was so bad in game 2 he was replaced by Craig Gower - and hasn't featured since - so 3 games of Origin some player.
When was Smith's form any good - he has been poor for the last two years he was at the Eels and he has been ousted by an 18 year old kid at Wigan his form is that poor - his defence is laughable.
