Don't know who will win but given how utterly atrocious Huddersfield have been I hope Leigh win. I'm sure they would also get a better average attendance than the Giants in SL which will keep everyone happy

I think losing a 26-6 lead against us knocked the stuffing out of you your game against Wakefield could have gone either way

Truth is Wakefield last year were IMHO the worst SL team that will ever contest the MPG. Yet despite our awfulness we were way better than Bradford and it only got tight due to a nervous wobble at the end.

None of the bottom four SL teams are anywhere near as bad, All four will beat Leigh or anyone else by at least 24 points IMHO. Leeds and Salford could possibley put 50 on any Championship team.

Sorry guys the chances of Championship team winnig the million pound game is slim at best.

The Leigh fans as they did with you last season think it's going to be us and them in the million pound game with them winning

The problem leigh fans have is that they'll look at the losses of the middle 8 teams to top super league clubs, and look at their wins against poor championship teams and then think ''we're gonna do this lot, easy''.

Have another look at your form in the regular season and then, take a look at your form in the "middle 8's" and you may just get it

MPG is flawed as it allows either to team to sign a pretty much new squad if better players come available even if they only play one game to get them out of trouble.

It's a new competition for Giants and I don't see us taking it too well to be honest.

It's always going to be difficult.
Leigh look great but they haven't had a benchmark this season to show where they are against SL opposition like they did last year.
That might help as the SL teams don't know what to expect but Leigh certainly under performed last time out.

I'd like to see Leigh give it a go, but equally I don't want to see anyone drop out.
It bugged me last year when everyone picked us but if I was picking a team to drop out it would either be Salford or Huddersfield. Hull KR and Leeds bring way too much to the SL party to want them to drop out, but it is decided on results, not how many fans you have or how good your stadium is, as Wakefield proved.

Agreed. RL should have a cut off point for signings from preseason to the week before the Easter Period.
It would promote big squads and a healthy youth system.

Leigh and Bradford certainly have great foundations to deserve a chance.
It's a shame it has to be at the expense of anybody.
They really are recruiting well. The championship hasn't looked so strong than it has since the new system.
I'm a big fan of it.

From the Championship, you have to think that Leigh are the most likely candidates to make the MPG, although London could be dark horses.
And from SL, it looks like KR or Huddersfield will be the weaker teams, although even in defeat KR looked far too strong for any Championship club, so it's going to be a big ask for anyone to gain promotion through the MPG.
Unless one of the SL clubs slips up in the MPG, it's going to be as you were and expect a change to the system when it happens (even if it's just a tweak)

I suspect KR weren't particularly bothered about getting through the rounds of the CC given how they were embarrassed last year. And they certainly had no issues against the championship sides in the 8s before......
