then you can infringe that rule , this is one of the problems we have in the Championships , and one of the reasons I moan about the Thursday TV games , we usually end up with all our best matches being on tv and suffer financially because of it , and the other issue now is , will we be in the same position next year ? , having lost our benefactor mid season , we have players on contracts that we have to honour , but our income has been drastically reduced

All bollox really being where we are , this is quite likely to make it even more difficult to bring in somebody to take over the club as it could affect our ' box ticking ' for 2012

If it is so difficult to judge whether or not a club will be able to stay within the the Salary Cap rules, within the Championship, then we'll probably see several other clubs having the same problem. I haven't seen any such breach by other Championship clubs yet.

So how is it only Leigh who've managed to feck it up?

If it puts somebody off from investing in the club , it certainly isn't a storm in a teacup

3 points for a technical breach while Wigan only got a 4 point deduction for a laughable blatent breach. Nice to see the RFL are as consistent as ever.

I suppose a technical breach means:

- Leigh spent what they had projected they could spend and did not spend more than that -
- BUT they didn't make that projection (a projection which was presumably approved by the RFL when plans were submitted) because of various factors some of which would have been foreseeable and some perhaps not.

I can see how this technical breach is much less serious than spending more than you projected you could, as long as your original projection was not deliberately inflated.

It seems to me a harsh penalty when you consider what penalties you get for going bust (which we might get hit with based on current events).

What we are not told is how much the deficit was - was it a quid or a million quid?

Give me proof as to why that should happen and i'll change my oppinion.

I meant would it preclude a club from applying , I doubt it would have any deciding factor as it was a minor technical offence , just be nice to know , I'd hate it to crop up at the last minute , unfortunately these things are important these days
