Just wondering why the Salford seats are green?!

Salford are changing names to "Trafford Titans" and sharing with "Trafford Sharks". Both will play in Green. Don't tell anyone though it's top secret.

I'm sorry, but it's not hard to make the seats the colour (or near the colour) they're intended to be on a graphic image, even if it is "rough". You'd think after all these years of planning, they'd have a rough idea by now.

I agree. Especially when they have had plenty of years to plan these little details.

True, although I didn't make the plan so I don't know why they made them green, apparently we're sending off a detailed plan this week and if it gets approved then construction work is due to start in November.

Thought it had been stated that construction WILL start in November. There have already been, over the last 3 years, 4 dates given for start of construction. Have to admit though that Mr Wilkinson is making a go of making it seem realistic this time, what with all those diggers.

But it's supposed to be Salford's stadium isn't it? Where as Melbourne's is government owned and so used by more than just Melbourne (so isn't tailored to them).

If the seats at Salford are green, it leads me to believe that there is going to be a ground share of some sort with a team that doesn't play in red.

I just find it a bit odd that they'd showcase plans of "their" stadium on BBC with different coloured seats after being in the planning process for what appears to be a generation!

I think you will end up sharing it. It will need to be functioning all year round. Hopefully it will be F.C. United in the winter, not the dreaded Sale Sharks. I reckon it would be good for the game if Swinton played there on your alternate weekends, but I think they are hoping for a stadium of their own.

i actually dont think swinton sharing the ground would be a good idea i know alot of swinton fans all they say is bitter abuse and the way the go on i dont think they would want to share either at the end of the day salford will be the main (and hopefully the only) team playing at barton

If that is the case why spend money on a stadium that will be used a maximum of 16 weeks per years!!!
