Can't take my eyes of this match - being played at a frantic pace.

| I agree, they should show these smaller teams clashing early on in the season, they target their peak earlier than the bigger succesful teams and it makes it more entertaining for the tv viewers

| Solomona Try for Warrington.
16-6 now.
I thought Wigan started the stronger, since Warringtons first try though I think they have been in control.

Apart from the many penalties they should've got for all the 'Huddersfield 2005'-style tactics from Wigan?

Of course he has. They're the home side. That's what he does.

I agree. Take Warrington for example - In the Challenge Cup last year they peaked in the final. After that, they went right off the boil. The celebrations on Sunday had died down to a nothingness and by 1am on Monday morning players were beginning to sober up.

Think the ref has been very good so far. Letting the game flow and not made any big mistakes.

| I think the 12-point half time lead that Warrington have is more than justified.

| Cracking game. Best side won in the end (just) but a fantastic effort from both. Sounded like a terrific atmosphere as well.

| Fantastic game. Warrington seemed to lose their way when Monaghan and Briers were both off the field.

| What a fantastic game. If theres a better game than that this season I will be suprised. Credit to both teams, it could have gone either way but I think Wigan were the deserved winners in the end. It's a shame briers wasnt on the pitch in the final 2 minutes, that's usually when he comes up with something special. But like I say a fantastic effort from teams, a real advert for the game.

Warrington will be tough if they keep Monaghan and Briers on the pitch every week.........Myler is not what he is cracked up to be.

| Christ all mighty. I was watching delayed coverage (kids bedtime). I usually catch up about 20 minutes during the game but I could just not keep my eyes off it.
Thought Morley was dodgy in his smashing of Hansen at the end - I would expect him to be up before the beak for it. But it's what he needed to do - they needed the ball back and the 2 points was potentially worth it.
Referee played a blinder too and contributed to the atmosphere.
Brilliant game and a great advert for the game - Anyone watching their first Superleague game will be back.

Personally thought it was a great hit and credit to Hansen for holding on.

Agreed - thought he was superb tonight in attack and, more surprisingly to some, in defence. Wil only get better and better.
I think Tony Smith will be delighted with most aspects of the performance even in defeat. That was a game we lost through a lack of composure in the second half - silly penalties and passes that were never on. Threw it away after dominating which is disappointing but when we click and get Solo fit we should do well.

| Cracking game and the ref was excellent too, let it flow and let the players get on with the game, no controversial decisions, maybe sometimes a little lax at the play the ball but I'd rather it be like that than a whistle fest.

| I thught Warrington got the rub of the green early on and certainly seemed to be a little more fatigued than Wigan in the latter stages (by the way - did Wigan really only use 10 interchanges, and if so, why?). Thought the Morley hit at the end was a little suspicious. Then again, he got away with last week's one. I was a little dubious about how the Sky duo talked up Wire last week, felt they were poor against Cas. Certainly raised their game this week and if they can play anything like their best consistently they'll do well. I'd agree about needing to keep Briers and Monaghan firing.
Wigan deserved it overall. They seem a more balanced side than last year, particularly in the forwards. Joel Tomkins in particular seems to have progressed, and grown some if I'm not mistaken.
Slight aside - do you think Eddie consciously chose the phrase about 'what they put in the tea at Wigan'? Better not said after this week IMO.
