erm...........taking up new sport fail!

Not a bad attendance for the Italians, considering there is virtually no RL over there and they were always going to get battered!

And good strong performance from the Scots it would seem. The result may be bad for the game, but it's got to start somewhere!

Well everyone has to take a beating at some point. The Italians have 2 more games to try and improve, then they can go back and take on The Germans and Czechs next year with alot more knowledge.

Plus over 2000 people now know the game exists!

The only problem with this is that Rugby League is a rubbish sport when it is one sided. It is a terrible sport when it is that one-sided.

104-0 doesn't help either the Scots or the Italians one bit.

One team clearly hasn't been tested and it doesn't sound like the other has touched the ball.

So, if one result means its a failure, what do we do to try continue without going back to the stop-start of the international game?

I think its pretty good considering Italy has not got a single Rugby League club and no one there plays the game on a regular basis.

But all their players are Australian? Is it another sign of the diminishing level of the game there?

They certainly don't look 104 points worse than the Scots on paper, so not sure what happened but it's a massive shame for the international game. To be fair, Russia were scheduled to take part in this tournament and would surely have put up a better fight.
